VP to Cologne playoffs over C9

Virtus.pro are through to the playoffs at ESL One Cologne 2015 after defeating Cloud9 16-8 on de_cbble.

The winners match in Group D paired Virtus.pro against Cloud9 on de_cbble, with both teams having enjoyed fairly comfortable opener wins. As discussed in our Group D preview, VP entered the game with a heavy advantage based off of previous online match-ups.

Virtus.pro won the pistol round on their CT side and cashed out on the next two anti-ecos. However, Cloud9 had seemingly found a strategy to pick up rounds in the early game, and its name was "hard rush B."

Using this strategy, Sean "⁠seang@res⁠" Gares and his men picked up multiple rounds until Virtus.pro began to finally stack the site as a response. C9 had some luck manipulating this stack, but it was not dynamic enough, and Filip "⁠NEO⁠" Kubski enabled his men to start picking up CT rounds effectively, with VP finishing the half up 8-7.

Virtus.pro to remain "Legends"

VP used clever maneuvring on their T pistol to force a defensive rotate from Cloud9 and then rush B site, giving the Poles the pistol-round win. With the score at 12-7 for VP, seang@res called a timeout for his beleaguered men.

Cloud9 garnered a round following the timeout, however in the next round Jarosław "⁠pashaBiceps⁠" Jarząbkowski outplayed Tyler "⁠Skadoodle⁠" Latham in a one-versus-one to bring the score to 14-8. After that moment, the game was in VP's hands and the Poles went on to power a 16-8 win and advance to the playoffs.

On Ct side he was baiting and it's hard to kill at least 1 enemy, while being rushed by a whole squad. Just didn't expect c9 rush b all the time. On TT he was playing good.

i knew neo has been awp for a while. only want to confirm for this particular match cuz this 0.0 hs stats. btw u should let go of the critics on psh now. they are doing fine as a team. maybe the problem was more of the old setup. as we can see, neo and psh are both getting better after the adjustment.
