SPUNJ: "We could've won [vs TSM]"

We talked to Renegades' Chad "SPUNJ" Burchill about the team's preparation before ESL One Cologne, the group system, the team's transition to a new organization and their match with TSM.

Renegades kicked their TSM match off with a good start, getting off to 5-0 as Terrorists before the Danes took over with 13 in a row. While they did fight back afterwards, they couldn't get further than to 11 rounds total.

With that, Renegades fell down to the lower bracket, where their opponent is yet to be decided due to the new group system.

We interviewed Chad "⁠SPUNJ⁠" Burchill to get his thoughts on a number of different topics, including Renegades' preparation, goals, the system of the tournament and also the team's transition from Vox to Renegades.

Immunity "could've" won against Virtus.Pro and eBettle "could've" won against fnatic. They just needed to "fix" their mistakes. Kappa RNG should move to N.A./EU as soon as possible. They still play incredibly individualistic and need somewhat decent competition to scrim against on the regular, and maybe even hire an analyst, e.g., Steel. They have good players and good executes (when everything goes right), they just have zero consistency. Edit: Would love to see Renegades in the ESEA/CEVO Pro-Leagues.
