f0rest: "It's gonna be a brawl vs. VP"

We have another video interview from day two in Cologne, this time with Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg, who shed some light on the team's preparation, NiP's matches so far and the Virtus.pro quarter-final ahead of them.

After NiP showed a shaky perfromance in the initial match of group A against CLG and got blown out by TSM in the following game, they had little to no trouble running over Renegades to take the seventh quarter-final spot.

Patrik "⁠f0rest⁠" Lindberg shed some light on NiP's practice results, the matches he has played so far in Cologne and his expectations for the Virtus.pro quarter-final, as well as a potential grand final finish.

NIP cant play Cobble,Overpass,Mirage so it cant be 2-0.Luckily Vp cant play D2 and Inferno. I think it will be 2-1 for Virtus. If cache will be the decider it will be NIP 51-49%.

NiP won most cobble maps in ESL One Cologne last year, and cam back against fnatic 4-11 scoreline in the Grand Finals... I think NiP is fine with cobble

right, let me be fair here it's titan's "fault" as in winning against titan would have made nip's playoffs spot "deserved" but i'm talking actual route here, and winning against clg and renegades to make playoffs and then getting the best matchup out of the 4 in the quarters is just everything nip who are clearly out of form could have hoped for, and it's not the first major where this happened in, not the second either.. and xizt said so himself

Was the same in Dreamhack and no one believed in Nip but they made it to the grand final and the 3rd map went into overtime vs envy. If they play a grand final and 3rd map overtime it's not deserved? Lets see what happens this time. Personally I think they will win quarter and lose semi, but who knows, they have a habit to make it to grand finals ^^

yeah, in the final they always met a "real" opponent and lost every single time but one, they mostly had the most convenient groups, multiple times being paired against hellraisers as the "top team" in their group who didn't win a single time how often had they met the danes in the playoffs? and back then they won every single time, the danes were the perfect matchup for nip and they were scared and choked always people forget this, but this bo1 was the first time the danes have beaten nip at a major, it's huge they hardly met a real danger opponent before the final but let me be fairer, if they had won against tsm in the groups they could have had an even easier quarter matchup so i'll take back that losing against tsm didn't matter

Let's face it, if all the best teams would be in the same group and get eliminated before the finals it would be pretty boring to watch. Most sports have top seeds to avoid that.

Nip is low now but VP play in 4 (pasha's case) so 50/50 match up. A free hint for Nip in T. Rush BS where pasha holds. Insta 5v4 for you :) Anyway it doesnt matter as Fallen will destroy the winner later.

I've stopped watching scene that deep a while ago (iviews etc) and f0rest looks great now. He was so shy sometimes and now he's kinda charismatic. It's good to see it. Because if someone deserves self-confidence it's him :)
