Team Kinguin becomes G2.Kinguin
G2 have announced that they have ventured into Counter-Strike again by completing the signing of Kinguin's team.
The Spanish organisation had been without a CS:GO team since parting ways with their Polish roster in the aftermath of a a failed qualification campaign for ESL One Cologne.
At the time, G2 vowed to "break into the scene again with full force", adding that they were "hard at work" finding a roster that could fly the organisation's colours high.

It has now been announced that Kinguin's team will be representing G2 going forward as part of a deal that sees the digital game company become the Spanish organisation's title partner.
"All our fans have been demanding a world-class Counter-Strike:GO team for some months already," G2 CEO Carlos "ocelote" Rodríguez Santiago said in an announcement.
"Worry not, today is the day! We are honored to welcome Team Kinguin as our CS:GO team! They will be joining our amazing HotS squad and our LoL team, which, by the way, qualified for LCS last weekend.
"This team has earned the respect of many in the industry by fighting against language barriers and previous misconceptions from the Counter Strike community.
"Counter Strike is about 15 years old now, and the vast majority of successful teams that have come and gone have been all from the same nation or communicated in the same language.
"These guys seem to have challenged these habits. This will hopefully start a trend, and more international World Class teams will rise."
In the last weeks, Kinguin dropped most of its esports sponsorships, but the company will remain heavily involved in esports, said Viktor Wanli, CEO and founder of the digital game marketplace.
"We love the transition of Team Kinguin into G2 Kinguin. Carlos, Jamie and the whole Gamers2 management are great professionals and wonderful people," Wanli said.
"We are excited to work together and bring this team up to its potential. Kinguin will continue to provide the team’s fans and the whole Counter-Strike community with the best possible treatment.
"Make sure to tune in on G2’s website and social media platforms as often as possible for giveaways, contests and player merchandise."
The European mixture, who won Gaming Paradise's CS:GO tournament last weekend, are currently taking part in CEVO Season 8's Professional division. Their next offline appearance will be at DreamHack Open Cluj, the next major, from October 28 to November 1.
