Global challenge in Dubai

While we wait for the participating teams for the first two Global Challenges in New York and Montreal, ESL announce yet another Global Challenge, to take place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The third Global Challenge has been announced to take place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates from 18th until 24 of October. The Global Challenge will feature a $50.000 Counter-Strike 1.6 tournament. Prior to the Global Challenge a local qualifier will take its place 18-21th of October. The main tournament with all the top teams will take place 22-24th of October.

Date - 18th until 24th of October
City - Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Venue - Gitex Shopper
Prize Money - $50.000 for CS 1.6
Global Finals Slots: 2 slots for the continent of the winners
Participants: 16 CS 1.6 Teams

This will be the biggest eSports event of the Middle East ever. Which of the top teams will take the trip down to Dubai, trying to conquer the $50.000 and the 2 slots for their continent? We are following the Global Challenge in Dubai as more information gets released.

Guys, I have been in Dubai. There is nothing special about it, really. You see a lot of Buildings you can't see anywhere else, a snow-Ski Center in a Mall, the Gold Burj Al Arab, 6 malls with lame clothes actually, you do some sand-board in a safari and that's all. After these you are bored.

none of wat christop said is true...i guess he last visited dubai in 1980's... In Dubai: there r drinks in clubs n hotels only... there rclubs evrywhere... designated areas fr smokin.... pig meat available at selected store.... no stupid noise wakes u up in dubai..unless u sleepin in a construction site... and btw arab gals are da best...besides u gt 100's of nationalities to choose frm...

I actually visited Dubai 4 month, ago. And Whatever you said is only for Private places, inside hotels for example (actually ONLY inside hotels). You can't just Smoke, Drink, or eat something in public and that's why it's SO annoying.
