EnVyUs over Virtus.pro to Gfinity final

EnVyUs overpowered Virtus.pro 3-2 (de_train 8-16, de_inferno 16-12, de_mirage 9-16, de_cache 16-7, de_cbble 16-6) in the Gfinity Champion of Champions semi-final to meet fnatic tomorrow in the grand final.

Map one between Virtus.pro and EnVyUs was set to be the Poles' pick, de_train. They also got to start on the favored side of Counter-Terrorists, which they won comfortably 11-4. While the Frenchmen gave themselves a little room to breathe by winning the next pistol, it wasn't close to enough to come back as the Poles closed it out a 16-8.

de_inferno was quite another story with the general consensus of favoured sides, as both teams were very strong on the offence. EnVyUs were slightly better as Counter-Terrorists though, which helped them survive the potential comeback at 16-12.

Snax was the only one to turn up on de_inferno

de_mirage followed and while EnVyUs had a decent seven-round Terrorist side,the Virtus.plow emerged again and crushed their opposition, only allowing them two rounds on the defense for a 16-9 victory and a 2-1 lead on maps.

Both remaining maps, de_cache and de_cbble, went into the hands of the Frenchmen very comfortably, as they only dropped 13 rounds over both maps to join fnatic in the Gfinity Champion of Champions grand final, taking place tomorrow at 12:00 .

Katowice 2014 and Dubai 2015 You will say dubai is not a major because steam did not give you stickers blablaba but truth to be told, team wise, it was the best tournament up to date, creme de la creme.

+1 it was a really exciting tournament from the start till the end. and the final was really close :D and i bet every team fought hard... 250K is still 250K no matter if it gives stickers or not :P :D

Ye, but technically Dubai wasn't a major, but still 100k for 1st place is 100k. People will always find a way to make your achievements look weak + HLTV hate/logic is strong, so retards will always hate.

Well technically, the term major has been around since the 1.6 with events like iem, eswc, wcg. These events had the best teams, biggest prizes, and most prestige. So technically dubai was a supermajor? :P

I could easily see fnatic utterly destroying EnvyUs and making them look totally avergae and disorganised as a team. Will be good if Envy are actually able to make it a close game and not crumble under the stress and pressure.
