CS:GO Baltics Cup with ~$4,200

The CS:GO Baltics Cup will take place at GameOn, a gaming expo in Vilnius, Lithuania and offer a total of approximately $4,200 in prize-money for Baltic region teams.

Over 450 teams from the Baltic region have registered for the CS:GO Baltics Cup, which boasts 3,750€ (~$4,200) to be split amongst the four teams who manage to qualify for the offline portion of the tournament.

The beginning of the CS:GO Baltics Cup will see teams from Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia playing best-of-one matches starting tomorrow on October 3. This online process will continue until the round-of-32 in about a week's time, at which point the tournament will utilise a best-of-three format.

These qualification matches will continue throughout the month of October until reaching the semifinals. These four teams will receive all-expenses paid trips to Vilnius, Lithuania to the GameOn event, which will be a comprehensive gaming expo.

The semifinals will be played at the LitExpo building on October 30th, whereas the grand finals will be played at the Siemens Arena the next day.

The minimum prize-pool (it may possibly rise) breakdown is:

1. - €2,000 (~$2,250)
2. - €1,000 (~$1,120)
3. - €500 (~$560)
4. - €250 (~$280)

Tickets for the GameOn Expo can be found here. An English stream will be available at twitch.tv/gameoneu whereas a Lithuanian stream will be found over at twitch.tv/zaismodnr.

as much as i hate to admit it, theres no scene in lithuania. our "top teams" are literally mix of 5 guys playing pug style games. When i watched LT vs Germany match and i listened to their communication.. it's just sad, but typical lithuanian play. The only tactic they use is "flash and rush" or they throw basic smokes and just rush in on site, no fakes, no communication, no decision on whos gonna watch what. thats the problem in lithuania. they don't pay any attention to tactics, for them it's only about shooting and thats not how you win games
