Epsilon win SocialNat

Epsilon won SocialNat's CS:GO tournament after defeating OverGaming 2-0 in the grand final (16-2 on de_mirage and 16-5 on de_train).

Eight of the best teams in the Iberian peninsula gathered in Madrid for SocialNat, one of the biggest LAN events in Spain, which took place under the wings of the Madrid Games Week.

With the recent roster shuffles in the top tier of the Spanish scene, involving x6tence, Epsilon and OverGaming, many wondered who would come out on top of the tournament, which had €9,500 up for grabs.

Christian "⁠loWel⁠" Garcia Antoran's side looked like a strong candidate for the title after topping their group with a 16-6 victory over Epsilon and easing past suma.gg by a 2-0 scoreline in the last-four stage.

The other semi-final featured a thrilling match between x6tence, who fielded Konstantinos "⁠tsack⁠" Theodoropoulos as a stand-in, and Epsilon, with Jonathan "⁠MusambaN1⁠" Torrent's side emerging victorious after three hard-fought maps.

Those who expected to watch an interesting grand final were certainly disappointed to see that it was a dull, one-sided affair as Epsilon quickly disposed of OverGaming, conceding just seven rounds across the entire series.

It is sad to see the prizes for the winners. And more if you know how much visitors paid... Spain is different.

9.50 euros per day its not that much. Our own Lisbon Games Week is more and not even close we got that prize pool.

Many people paid 9.5 euros on Saturday because X6tence would play semifinal, but organization changed the schedule and they played on Sunday in the end. If you wanna watch a game and they don't play... 9.5 euros it might be too much.

I feel you dude. I've seen things at this event that I thought I wouldn't see it these days. SocialNAT organization was clearly the worst part of it, such a bad management in all of it.

it is not just about the cost of the tickets that I agree is not too much. But it is about all the brands where there selling and paying to be there. Lot of people went there to buy new stuff... And I am sure the brands there paid some good money for it.

True. But the exposition was quite decent. Really enjoyed that part of the event and surely pays off that amount of money. You could do so many stuff over there, so many activities and such. The CSGO and LoL tournaments however were an absolute joke.
