xFunction Iberian with $4,200 purse

xFunction have announced that they will host an Iberian tournament with over $4,000 up for grabs.

Hosted together with ASUS ROG, the xFunction Iberian Championship will take place from November 5-8 at Feira Internacional de Lisboa (FIL) as part of the Lisbon Games Week.

Four teams - two from Portugal and two from Spain - will compete in the tournament for the first prize of €2,000 (~$2,250). The local teams will be determined by an open qualifier, while the Spanish sides will come from a closed qualifier.

Lisbon Games Week will take place at FIL

More information about these qualifiers and the tournament itself will be released at a later date, according to xFunction. The prize breakdown stands as follows:

Actually it is. Gaming in Portugal is not well-funded, especially if we compare it to Scandinavian countries, not to speak of economical differences. We manage through a whole month with 505€ (4699.16 SEK) as our minimum wage.

there will only be 4 teams because the organizers only managed to get 10 computers for the tournament. AND THEY WILL SHARE THEM WITH LOL TEAMS TOO. great job guys, let's do some shitty thing just for the sake of doing something instead of doing something good with good conditions.
