Game Evolution 2015 will offer 25,000 AED (~$6,800) at an upcoming event to be held in Dubai from November 6-7.

Game Evolution has been a provider of offline events in the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region before, as we last heard of them with a planned $40,000 CS:GO tournament in 2013 which was ultimately postponed.

The organiser has instead refocused on providing a high profile tournament this year for regional teams, offering 25,000 AED (~$6,800) at an upcoming event which will take place at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre on November 6-7.

Java's Team Impulse will compete in Game Evolution 2015

Eight teams from the region will be competing at Game Evolution 2015, with seven of the teams having qualified via two local qualifiers held at a net cafe called Golden Hall whereas the eighth team was invited (Brutality).

The teams list for the event is:

Just Passing By	Team Risky
RVN	Infamous 5
Team Impulse	Enjoy The Show
Last Resort	Brutality

The event will feature some notable teams, such as India's Brutality (who recently competed in the MixBOT Pro League Season 1), Team Impulse (whose players Nikola "⁠Cicatriz⁠" Paunović and Khaled "⁠Java⁠" Al Najjar attended MSI Beat It! 2013 as Falood Jacksons), and Just Passing By.

The prize-pool breakdown for the tournament interestingly allocates all of the prize money to the first place finisher, with unspecified graphics cards and motherboards awarded to second and third place.

Nice. Only 35k less than they announced 2 years ago.

I think they divided the prize purse among the other games. There is also dota2 with same 6800$ + console games such as street fighter and etc...(3-4 more)
