We got a hold of the winner of a match for a change, Richard "shox" Papillon, whose Titan survived NiP's comeback on Cobblestone in Group C of DreamHack Open Cluj-Napoca.

In one of the most anticipated matches of day one in Cluj, Titan kicked things off with a near-perfect 13-2 Counter-Terrorist side. NiP slowly climbed back into it, winning both the initial pistol and the first two gunrounds, but eventually fell short as Titan scraped three rounds together.

In the first and only winner interview of the day, we had Richard "⁠shox⁠" Papillon on camera to talk to us about Titan's rough major run and how the team learned from their previous mistakes during preparation.

The Frenchman also touched on how the team is evolving in terms of communication and general calmness, which you can hear more about in the following interview:

Lg gets beaten by c9 in a daily basis, they only goes to bootcamp (which c9 didnt) few weeks before major to make people think theyre better than they actually are. dont get fooled by that lol theyre a crap team that cant win any tournies and still cant make it outta grouppies in major.

Dust- 50/50 Inferno-50/50 maybe slightly NIP Cache- NiP but not gonna be played anyway. Mirage- Probably not gonna be played but could go either way since both are pretty bad on it. Overpass- Titan but not gonna be played. Cobble- Titan Train- Probably NIP

Titan don't play cache anymore and they looked weak as hell on it vs penta. Dunno how NIP is on it now tho. Probably true for Train Mirage I guess I could agree with that but I don't think either team is gonna want to play it.

It quite possibly the easiest, VP is one of the most inconsistent teams in the top 5 in history, they can go from dominating one tournament to getting beat 16-0 in another. NiP is on its last days and this will probably be the last major with this five man lineup, out of all the top 8 returning teams they are quite possibly the weakest at the moment. Liquid, they have been on a high over recent success in NA, but lets be honest its their first major as team and they havent had much experience playing against EU teams and like we saw today they might have a tendency to choke.
