TSM breeze through G2 to Cluj playoffs

TSM are the second team to advance to the playoffs and become subsequent Legends, defeating G2 16-6 on de_dust2.

With many still reeling from Luminosity's best-of-one stunner over fnatic, the second upper bracket best-of-one group winners match got underway between G2 Esports and TSM.

TSM showcased why the Danes are one of the best dust2 teams in the world on their CT pistol, with Andreas "⁠Xyp9x⁠" Højsleth and Finn "⁠karrigan⁠" Andersen neatly splitting up all five kills on an aggressing G2 side. In the next round however, Swede Mikail "⁠Maikelele⁠" Bill happened to use his TEC 9 to devastating effect against TSM's anti-eco, picking up an ace and bringing the score to 1-1.

This time it was Nicolai "⁠device⁠" Reedtz and Peter "⁠dupreeh⁠" Rasmussen's return to claim revenge as they counter-eco'd a hesitant G2 with pistols and brought the map control back to the CT side's favour. This game of early trades therefore transitioned into TSM stringing up multiple rounds and bringing the score to 6-1.

G2 managed to rally around the midway point and pick up three rounds in a row, however TSM soon regained full control with calm defensive play and only conceded the final round of the half, which meant the half ended 10-5 for the Danes.

This advantage was lengthened during the second pistol round with dupreeh picking up two entry kills, which helped secure the pistol and allow TSM to pull ahead to a 13-5 scoreline.

Despite Dennis "⁠dennis⁠" Edman picking up three kills in the next round and giving G2 their sixth round of the game, TSM showcased superior fragging and execution ability on de_dust2 and seized the remaining rounds, finishing the game 16-6.
