Conquest pull out of RGN Pro Series

Conquest have withdrawn from the upcoming RGN Pro Series Championship, team member Shahzeb "ShahZam" Khan has revealed.

The announcement was made by Shahzeb "ShahZaM" Khan via Twitter, where he explained that the team were forced to pull out of the tournament in order to be able to play their ESL ESEA Pro League matches that are scheduled for next week.

Conquest will still attend the iBUYPOWER CS:GO Invitational, which concludes on Sunday, one day before the RGN Pro Series Championship kicks off, with both events taking place at the exact same venue, the eSports Arena in Santa Ana, California.

Conquest are unable to attend the event due to EEPL commitments

The move leaves the RGN Pro Series event without one of its strongest teams, with Conquest having been the only North American side to reach the playoffs at last weekend's CEVO Season 8 finals, where they beat Team Liquid and dignitas before losing to mousesports in the semi-finals.

Contacted by HLTV.org, RGN stated that it is currently working on finding a last-minute replacement for Conquest, who had been drawn in Group D, alongside Luminosity, Winterfox and CLG Red.

Unfortunate for ShahZaM and co. that the scheduled time was inconvenient for them.

Where is the claim that they're "a big thing"? All that is refuted is the "ha ha ha ha". Apparently, in your world the ONLY teams worth anything are the ones in the top 5 or 6? Dignitas is 12th and to you they're laughable and any team that can beat them obviously doesn't say much about them. That they also beat Liquid in a Bo3 (who are ranked 14th), doesn't mean much to you. Nobody is saying they're a tier 1 team, but any real fan of the game doesn't go "ha ha ha" over the little they were able to do. Maybe we don't hear from them again, but getting to a semi-final isn't nothing.

ESEA never reschedule matches just cause theyre complete cunts. a team shouldnt have to drop out of a lan just because ESEA are been stubborn and wont do what is extremely easy and reschedule some online matches.

they are not stubborn, its on purpose. as long as they throw away money even at the shittiest teams nobody will argue with them.

Contrary to popular belief, casters and production crew have schedules too, sometimes they can only work at certain times and rescheduling matches can cause conflict. So before you blame ESEA, remember it goes both ways.

Why does their match need to be casted? Just play the game off-stream, it's much easier that way.

Their match likely wont be on stream on Thursday. It isn't about being able to stream the matches. All matches that day are played at the same time to prevent teams from winning / losing matches to help / hurt friends / enemies based on results.

I know, but what OP thinks that Conquest has to play their match at a certain time so that it can be streamed. It sounds like he doesn't know how matches are actually scheduled.

The matches on the 19th are matches that were already rescheduled from earlier in the season IIRC. The professional season was supposed to end around the 13th of November, but schedules were pushed around because of all of the LAN's. The LAN is on December 10th, and I assume November 19th is a hard deadline for all online matches to end.

Why can't they play the online matches at the event on some PCs? Surely, RNG doesn't want to lose the NA team with most hype right now. I can't believe that the RNG guys can't hook the Conquest guys up.

I get that, but what I don't get is why Conquest can't play those online games from the RGN event? Or a LAN cafe in the area or something?
