Na`Vi edge out Luminosity

Natus Vincere have sent Luminosity Gaming packing from IEM San Jose following a 2-0 victory in the quarter-finals (16-13 on de_mirage and 19-17 on de_overpass).

The third quarter-final contest brought together two teams who had faced each other in the DreamHack Open Cluj-Napoca playoffs, with Natus Vincere coming out on top of that game by a 2-0 scoreline after two very close games.

As such, Luminosity came into this match seeking revenge, and they made their intentions clear very early in the game as they stormed to a 6-0 lead. Na`Vi then finally managed to adjust their attack and won six straight rounds, most of them really close ones, with Egor "flamie" Vasilyev playing a crucial role for his team at this stage. After seeing Na`Vi equalise the score at 6-6, Luminosity exerted great map control in the final stages of the half to take a three-round lead going into the break.

The early stages of the second half were highly contested as neither side could stamp their authority on the game. With the score tied at 12-12, Fernando "fer" Alvarenga went huge and won a 1vs3 clutch, but Na`Vi upped the pace and closed out the map by winning four rounds straight en route to a 16-13 finish.

Na`Vi through to last-four stage

Map number two was de_overpass, where Na`Vi looked very lively during the initial stages as they won four of the first five rounds. Luminosity then finally put their foot down to hold back their opponents, with the half ending in a close 8-7 advantage for the Brazilian side.

Luminosity came from the restart looking really sharp, with the scoreline blooming to 14-9 in their favor. With the threat of a third map looming large, Na`Vi tightened up their defense and forced the game to overtime, in which they won two rounds in each half to seal a 19-17 victory, leaving Luminosity frustrated once again.

I lol'd. You just put that statement out of nowhere and it isn't even relevant to the post in any shape or form. Since you brought it up though, Brazil still hasn't won a bo3 against any team better than Titan. Edit: you edited nvm

hen1 sucks.. I agree that stell can't really keep up, I saw him losing important kills a lot on mirage... and boltz seems to me that can't play on difficult situations.. :/

lol wtf all brazilian cs is like pairs? In Russia we have Dosia and Fox, sometime they've played together but then not. Also -boltz -steel +lucas1 +hen1? 2 Snipers is not too bad. I'm fan of this team since MLG Aspen, but last 2 month is a joke.
