defining stars qualify for WCG

Leading Portugese team defining stars seal themselves a place in this year's WCG Finals 2008.

This weekend saw a range of WCG qualifiers take place, including the Portugese qualifier. The event took place at the Estoril's Congress Center.

Defining stars were obvious local favourites, having recently participated at the ESWC Finals and leading the Portugese CS scene for quite some time now. However, k1ck esports have been seen to show a little quality from time to time and they were in attendance as well.

The tournament began with an initial group stage which then saw 4 teams progress into a single-elimination bracket. These teams included defining stars, egaming, k1ck esports & Revoltados esports. As can only be expected defining stars were able to cruise through to the final and were joined by Revoltados who defeated k1ck in a close encounter.

Defining stars came out victorious and as a result will be the Portugese representatives at the WCG Finals 2008 which will be held in Cologne Germany commencing on November 5th.

Yeah, by beating other Portuguese teams. The skill lvl in Portuguese CS is nowhere near the international lvl. No reason to attack him like that, he's right.

in defs we trust, and they will still lose in Group stage just face it, they suck international-wise, and last events have shown us that actually #6 is right, almost (not gonna say exactly :P) any team can send defs straight back home to Portugal, so they can get some more practice

k1ck are no longer the team they were before. At the moment, defs are unquestionably the best Portuguese team. But people think that because k1ck have foxj they are the best, and that people not even know the other 4 players of the team!

"Ignorance"? Maybe they're not at the same level as the other teams, maybe they'll loose all matches...but we still trust in them, they won the PT Qualifyers so they are the best to represent Portugal in WCG. Also, you should worry more about you're Dignitas than our defining stars
