TSM lose CS:GO team

Team SoloMid and their CS:GO team have parted ways, the players have announced.

The timing of the announcement is quite surprising as the players still had some time left on their contracts with TSM, who insist, however, that the team leave "on amicable terms".

TSM ventured into Counter-Strike in January by signing dignitas' players and enjoyed a great run as the team won several international tournaments, including two editions of the FACEIT League, the CCS Kick-off Season, Fragbite Masters Season 4 and PGL Season 1.

Danish team seek a new organisation

In recent weeks, however, it had been suggested that the relationship between TSM and the players had broken down, especially following the dismissal of team manager Frederik Byskov.

After DreamHack Open Cluj-Napoca, Byskov, who continued to represent the players as an agent, revealed that talks were in place with several interested organisations, fueling rumours that the players would not extend their contracts with the North American club.

"We were really happy to work for the TSM organization," a team statement read. "They provided us with everything we wanted for the entire year, and did their best to keep us happy.

"However, our long term visions did not align, and we believed that it was the best for both parties to part.

"We would like to thank TSM for all they’ve done for us, and hope to meet their new roster at future tournaments."

Until an organisation is found, the team will play under the name "?", the players revealed on Twitter. The Danish team have two events coming up, the fragbite Masters Season 5 Finals, kicking off on Friday, and the ESL ESEA Pro League S2 Finals, next week.

Meanwhile, TSM stated that they will not be taking a step back from the Counter-Strike scene as they plan to build a new team, based near Los Angeles.

TSM will pick some NA randoms that dont even compete in Pro League. U heard it here first. If I had to guess I'd say FNS cuz he will be kicked from CLG in no time, SEMPHIS and his gay fuckfriend autimatic. Vice and SicK from ex-Denial. i dont know 100% but COD nerds claim Optic is far richer then any other Org including TSM. There team house is easily the best ive seen, personally i dont know. You need to understand COD on console has more players then CSGO and Dota2 combined.

Do you think they would be a good org for CSGO? I was hoping Evil Genius or something. I did tell me friend a week ago I thought TSM was gonna drop their team then C9 would drop their team and pick up ex-TSM. You gotta believe an org on C9 level would want more winning. The c9 csgo Team has by far the Best rep. In NA and is a solid top 15 Team and top 2-3 NA atm so i guess they are fine with having a it. With shroud nothing and Freak they have 3 famous streamers and thats basiclly enough to sell a shit load of merch Stickers and stuff like that to get the earnings they want

NiP are fan favourites even though they have lost form the last year. They probably sell a lot in hope of the NiP-Magic. I don't know if it's just me, but I have the impression G2 have also become big fan favourites in EU. fnatic, NV, ? and (probably VP) are better teams, but that doens't mean they sell most stickers. I might be wrong, just my impression of the situation

NV has kennys nbk as fan favourites (happy also a little bit) and Fnatic has olof dennis and flusha (and because of the pick´m challange these 2 teams sell sooo incredible good) + VP with Pasza Taz Snax also 3 extremly famous fan favourites. G2 maybe a bit but the only real outstanding Player of them is fox because all the favelas buy his stickers thats it. i think NiP doesnt sell to much regarding the low price of all the players except f0rest and GTR and even them arent nearly as high as flusha olof kenny guardian or friends. all the NA fans do buy C9 i guess so i would defenitly put them above G2

More than just super successful. They were the greatest cod team of all time. They went on a win streak of NiP proportions for over a year straight. And this is a game where teams don't actually suck like in the beginning of CS:GO. Also unrelated to replying to your comment: Optic and ANY CoD org will be HUGE for CS:GO. CoD orgs have waaaaaaaaaaay more money than CS orgs. CoD players here make $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. There is a reason why they stay playing CoD and not transfer to CSGO.

You got any facts at all to back this up? I'm under the assumption it is the other way around. CS is a bigger esport than CoD in terms of streaming, competition, events etc. Maybe in the NA I can think CoD is the big thing but not in EU. I can only think of OpTic (who are ranked 39th in the esportearnings btw), EnVyUs (34th, which is counting CS+CoD) and FaZe (60th) from CoD. None of these making "waaaay more money" than any top CS team. Maybe from YouTube but not from eSport.

by much smaller, I means significantly. TSM is the largest organization in LOL, and benefited greatly from being one of the top ones in CSGO. Their coffers ( boxes of money ) are much much much deeper then those of Optic, who to this point have only toiled in a game that has all but become irrelevant to esports fans. Tsm has shown a willingness and ability to outspend and pay out anyone they desire in league, and this is a direct result of having almost unlimited funds. Outside of the 150 Million supposedly headed in VP's direction, no Org in esports can currently hang right next to TSM. Their branding is unparalleled. Even C9 takes a back seat.

fnatic just lost its 3 best players to NA orgs who outbid them by alot. Fnatic could not compete monetarily. how fucking brain dead or out of the loop are you. The fact Europe can't keep its stars is commonly known in the LOL world, especially in 2015 going into 16. All the sponsor money is in the NA LCS. SKT being rich is relative, they don't factor into the equation as they dont have teams in both scenes, or a desire to. derp. c9 is NA, worst point possible to make on your part, but still play second fiddle to TSM on every level.

Alliance/EG pails in comparison. While they are well funded, the sponsorships in NA are much stronger and profitable then those in Esports. See basically any article on the topic in the last 6 months for proof. Fnatic has been out spent time and time again, this isnt a sign of being frugal, its a sign that they simply cant compete. Lastly, the irrelevant brit calling someone much older than him a "kid" was takes the cake.

I don't think its knowledge, its just what people think because they're huge in the LoL scene. I personally dont judge an organizations care about a team by looking at how often they tweet about them. Also I don't know anything about the "not paying the manager" thing, is there somewhere i can read about this? I don't think its necessarily that TSM is underpaying anyone, its just how it is in the west. Also TSM is the only (known) org that offers health benefits to its players, which is quite big in NA.

Overall maybe few months ago yeah TSM was miles before G2/kinguin but atm honestly G2 seems to be in the leading position before TSM. i dunno if its some short-term slump for tsm but right now theyre not up their normal condition (losing to LG, a team which has changed players few days before a tournament, and G2 with a stand-in for rain).

Changing 2 players days before a tournament can have a surprising factor to other teams (lg has beaten 3 topteams in bo3 dont forget this) and im still pretty sure g2 has to step back when it comes to TSM... LG had a great tournament at IEM and they even took a map of fnatic in the grand final.. As i said it can have a surprising effect, and you have no presure in luminosity situation at IEM..

Expected. I don't understand why TSM would sign a team when they knew 100% that they didn't want one and they wouldn't communicate with them.
