Millenium unveil new team

Millenium have announced their return to CS:GO team ownership with a new squad featuring two French veterans.

Millenium took a step back from competitive Counter-Strike over three years ago, when they released their male roster, featuring current Titan duo Richard "⁠shox⁠" Papillon and Adil "⁠ScreaM⁠" Benrlitom.

Shortly after, Millenium ventured into the female scene and acquired a French team who would go on to finish in second place at Copenhagen Games 2013.

After over two years in which they prioritised other games, Millenium have found their way back to Counter-Strike with a team built around Christophe "⁠SIXER⁠" Xia and Engin "⁠MAJ3R⁠" Küpeli, two of the most successful French players during the final years of Counter-Strike 1.6. For the duo, this could finally be their chance to prove themselves in CS:GO following some unsuccessful spells with teams like Imaginary Gaming and Epsilon.

SIXER rejoins Millenium together with MAJ3R

Joining them is another familiar face in the French scene, Joey "⁠fxy0⁠" Schlosser, who returned to action in July following the match-fixing scandal involving his Epsilon team. The 22-year-old is currently suspended from all Valve-sponsored events, but the ban could be reviewed in 2016.

Rounding out the roster are two former CS:Source players who had a brief spell with Imaginary Gaming last year: Arnaud "⁠haqx⁠" Luttringer, who played alongSide Vincent "⁠Happy⁠" Schopenhauer in redLine, and Robin "⁠fisheR⁠" Kalck, formerly of 3DMAX.

"I am pleased to announce that, today, a new history begins in CS:GO," Christophe "Sixer" Xia told Millenium's website. "With my friend and longtime teammate MAJ3R, with fxy0, fisher and haqx we form the new team of Millenium, who are a very important organisation for me as I played for them for a few years in 1.6.

"I always regret not having won any international tournament, and I think I will accomplish this dream with this line-up.

"Motivation, communication and constant practice will be the key ingredients to be successful. But let's be realistic: we are far behind other teams and it will be hard to prove that we are among the best.

"I am very excited to play again on a team and to compete again. I will do everything I can to put my skills to use and to show you my potential."

why would he go to Titan? Hate to say it, but Titan have all these players with huge potential that can be considered tier 1, yet they are never going to get anywhere because the team just does not work. Titan will never win a significant event with this roster, it just isn't going to happen. Haters feel free to flame below

You're missing my point. They have the capability to be tier 1 players in terms of individual skill. But the team its self is absolute shite. It's just an example of the fact that putting a roster together with the 5 best players in the world won't make you the best team in the world.

Shox is the only tier 1 player in that team, ScreaM, as you said, is kinda inconsistent. RpK is a good player, but he is not on par with the best, his movement and his decision making (sometimes) are meh. Ex6TenZ & SmithZz are tier 2-3 players as well. Even if you think that RpK is a tier 1 player, just compare Titan to any other top team: 1) nV - 5 star players 2) ex-TSM - 3 star players + 2 good 3) fnatic - 5 star players 4) VP - Snax is an absolute beast, but all other 4 players are really good and can step up when it matters etc. ... Titan is a decent team, but they're just not on par with the other top teams individually.

A comment as accurate as this on HLTV is rare *applause*. ScreaM is just a highlight player. Once in a while he does well and gets a couple of nice headshots and 10 000 more fanboys. His playstyle is not easy to fit in any team really. Ex6TenZ should have retired long ago. RpK may just be past his expiration date. That being said, <3 RattlesnK(???????????)

As much as I hate to say it, rpk has become one of the most consistent players on Titan. Shox is their best player when he's on, but not always as consistent.

Miraa, I may be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure valve said that fxyo had a definite ban length of 1 year, it was only the IBP players that have not been given a definitive ban length. Fxy0 is meant to be 100% allowed to attend valve events 1 year after this ban?
