FACEIT, Turner with Las Vegas event

FACEIT have just announced a two-team $50,000 event in cooperation with Turner and WME | IMG, taking place at Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Nevada on January 7th. A two-stage qualifying phase has also been revealed.

The tournament will only feature two teams, one from Europe and one from North America, and will serve as a "precursor" to the recently announced televized $1.2M E-League by Turner and WME | IMG, according to the announcement.

Road To Las Vegas will feature two separate qualifying stages for both regions, starting with an Open round on December 12-13.

FACEIT partner up with Turner and WME | IMG for Road To Las Vegas

Each region will have two Open tournaments, the winners of which will advance to the next stage, the closed qualifier. There, they will join six invited teams to battle for a single spot at the event, taking place in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Closed qualifiers are set to be played from December 15-18 and they will be streamed on Twitch by FACEIT.

The main tournament will take place at the annual Consumer Electronics Show, which is one of the biggest electronics and technology trade shows in the world. Turner and WME | IMG will produce the event via FACEIT TV.

I live in Vegas so this is cool news. Thing is.. CES isn't open to the public, so I don't think that they'll be showing the match publicly unless they make some sort of compromise with the Las Vegas convention center. :/
