Liquid have just announced that Aleksi "allu" Jalli will be trying out for the team in the Road to Las Vegas matches.

In the last few days speculations have emerged about Aleksi "⁠allu⁠" Jalli potentially moving to North America to play for one of the top teams in the region, with Liquid being the biggest possibility.

With CLG recently announcing the departure of Pujan "⁠FNS⁠" Mehta, a lot of attention around the Finn has shifted towards that direction, although it seems like the first assumption will be the correct one.

Our starting 5 for the #Road2CES games this week will be: @Liquidnitr0, @Liquid_Hiko, @LiquidEliGE, @LiquidadreN, and @alluCSGO.

Liquid have just announced that allu will be playing for the team in Jacob "⁠FugLy⁠" Medina's stead in the online qualifier for E-LEAGUE's Road to Las Vegas, which has started only moments ago with CLG and SPLYCE in the first quarter-final.

When contacted about the announcement, Liquid's head coach James "Jame^s" O'Connor has confirmed to HLTV.org that allu will be playing for the team for a tryout period only, at least for the time being.

When a player of Allu's caliber became available it caused us to re-evaluate the roster.

I wasn't sure if you were talking about allu joining the team causing them to break up or if you want the original line up to stay together. Seems like you want the original line up though. Problem is they had plenty of time to vibe and win and just couldnt really get the results they wanted. Doesn't matter though, they lost to a tier 3 mash up of players, doesn;t seem like a solid start but we cant judge them for one game..

+1 Regardless of whether they take first, they have constantly been one of the best teams in the world. No one can dispute that simply based on results. They have stayed in the top ten since the beginning and they are friends who enjoy playing together, well most of them obviously. :)

I don't think dropping the dual entry fraggers would be a good idea... EliGE and nitro together are awesome working in tandem to clear sites. I think if you were to remove one, the other wouldn't be nearly as effective.

When Allu played on Mouz, I think that's when he was utilized the best. A really dynamic player, is good with the rifle and can single handily win rounds w/ the AWP. I think Liquid runs a similar system: a lot of 5-rifle setups using an AWP as a change of pace, so I would fully expect Allu to excel on Team Liquid. Plsplspls doitforNA

For those asking why -Fugly and not -Adren for these matches, it's because if Allu signs, Adren would stay for IGL. He doesn't even like to awp t-side, so Allu would pick up the awp both sides and Adren would move to rifler on both sides as well as staying IGL. Sad to see Fugly go if this is permanent. Perfect world IMO for Liquid: -AdreN +Allu Nitr0 becomes IGL (he said in an interview from a few days ago that he's going to start helping Adren with IGLing)

NA move is the best option for allu. Nothing in Finland for him and the options for other top tier teams in Europe are very limited. Mouz could have been a possibility but they are not top tier. NA would be a great chance to get some great experiences, see the world more and maybe even get some great results if he fits in well. Really hope it works out.

Leading from a coaching position isn't the same as leading in-game. Strat calling wouldn't be affected but mid-round calling would be much harder. I don't know if Liquid has someone else that could call mid-round but if they don't it makes no sense to move adreN to coach.

Liquid is a good organisation. If he creates something in Finland you would never see him on a big LAN again. This is good for Liquid (more firepower with Nitr0 and Hiko) and good for allu, good money and a decent team.

I can get behind -fugly for allu, but I too think they should of dropped adren well before fugs. Especially since adren is there awp and is mediocre with rifles. Allu is a sick rifler as well as awper though, so we will see how this transpires.

allu haters here doesnt seem to understand that NIP's slump started long before allu joined the team, even before maikelele joined the team. They won once in ROG with maikelele... a tournament that was missing all the good teams and they were struggling to win those games. After the ROG tournament NiP even failed to get past group stages with him. When allu came in they actually won some good teams. And just to make it clear, Allu was in top 3 in almost every single game, usually 1st or 2nd with F0rest. And he performed especially well in major events, basically carrying NiP. Fifflaren didn't just get a random urge to quit playing, he quit because he felt that he wasn't good enough. He didn't want to be extra weight for the team. Also none of the good teams that are dominating today, existed back then. This is not based on the fact that i like allu or not, these are stone cold facts you retards seem to forget. Get over it.
