Shara set to sign for FlipSid3

FlipSid3 Tactics will complete their roster with the addition of Aleksandr "Shara" Gordeev, HLTV.org has learned.

The former KerchNET member had been tipped to join FlipSid3 on a permanent basis after playing for the team as a substitute on several occasions over the last couple of months.

A source close to FlipSid3 has told HLTV.org that, while Oleksandr "⁠Shara⁠" Hordieyev has already promised to join the North American organisation, he will not do so until January 1 as the player wants to wait until his current team, Spray'n'pray, has found a replacement for him before completing a move.

He will step into the shoes of Oleksandr "⁠s1mple⁠" Kostyliev, who stepped down from FlipSid3's active lineup in July following a public outburst at his teammates in the wake of the side's semi-final defeat against Na`Vi at ESWC Montreal.

FlipSid3 bring in a new player

With a squad depleted to four players, FlipSid3 continued to field Vadim "⁠DavCost⁠" Vasilyev - who had already played for the team at ESL One Katowice and in the ESL ESEA Pro League Season 1 due to s1mple's ban - as a substitute, but the Russian's long-term future on the roster was always unclear.

The possibility of DavCost signing for FlipSid3 was ruled out earlier in the week as the 19-year-old agreed to join Team YP. Initially, s1mple appeared to be the close to reclaiming his spot, but the team signed Shara, who played alongside Vladyslav "⁠bondik⁠" Nechyporchuk in A-Gaming back in 2013.

FlipSid3's first event with the new lineup will be the offline qualifier for the MLG Major Championship, on February 26-28, where the team will try to secure a fourth consecutive major appearance.

With Shara's arrival, FlipSid3 now have:

i mean, he has already played for f3 afair, and its too soon to say something, he was a decent player, but who knows now, i doubt that it will change much but he can be a player f3 needed to play better. could be a failure aswell

Most pro players are not global because they don't play MM at all, there are a couple pro level players though that do play MM and never took it serious for a single second, this just shows how meaningless that rank is and to compare Shara to the average global elite who has no game sense, poor movement and even worse aim is actually kind of disrespectful imo.

He play with B1ad3 and bondik for a long time at kerchNET in 1.6 [B1ad3 bondik z1 Krutoi Shara] and I can say he is the worst player at kerchNET. The only reason I remember him because he use left hand to contral the mouse. Hope he can do better at CSGO.

Better than s1mple I think. The last thing this team needs in instability and toxic players. They do have a kinda decent team but have been struggling against even weaker opponents. Honestly, its hard to see a legend like marik trying to eek the last bit of cs from himselves but loosing to tier 10 teams and 16-17 yo kids. I would rather see him retire imho edit: but gl though

One of the best Ukrainian "young aimers". Used to play against Na`Vi in their prime, when he was in KerchNET. Skillwise he is like S1mple, he wants to win always. But he is less cocky than S1mple. So I guess this is right decision.
