pyth to join NiP - Report

Ninjas in Pyjamas will replace Aleksi "allu" Jalli with Jacob "pyth" Mourujärvi, according to a report from Aftonbladet.

NiP announced on Sunday Adam "⁠friberg⁠" Friberg as the first player who will be part of their 2016 lineup, which will have at least one new face after Aleksi "⁠allu⁠" Jalli announced his departure from the team earlier in the month.

According to Aftonbladet, Patrik "⁠f0rest⁠" Lindberg, Richard "⁠Xizt⁠" Landström and Christopher "⁠GeT_RiGhT⁠" Alesund are also committed to NiP and will soon pen new contracts with the organisation.

pyth reportedly set to join NiP

Rounding out the roster will be Jacob "⁠pyth⁠" Mourujärvi, who returned to Sweden in October after a six-month spell in North America, where he played for Luminosity and Winterfox. After leaving the United States, the 22-year-old decided to take a break from gaming to assess his options.

Contacted by HLTV.org, pyth declined to comment on the report. NiP will continue to unveil one player per day until New Year's Eve.

NiP's reported new lineup will consist of:

Agreed. This is the most dull and tiresome news I can imagine. NiP has been so lackluster this year and the only move they make is remove their only primary awper for another rifler. I've always been a big fan of NiP, but they are making it really hard to cheer for them. I didn't want GTR to go to C9, but at least then I could have had a new team to cheer for.

The NiP management are so incompetent when it comes to making decisions, how long did it take to get rid of Fiff? fucking ages and now as you said they remove the awper and probably their best player for a guy who couldn't even perform in NA? if you can't standout in NA what chance you got in EU? Only time will tell. I believe this new lineup with Pyth is going to be what makes NiP a top 3 team again. Pyth is a godly player and needs people on his level to be able to show how good he truly is to the world. Sad to see that only now is he joining a proper team, when he has been showcasing his greatness for a while.

Yeah but let's be real for a sec. Fifflaren wasnt good either. He was a mediocre awper and a mediocre rifle at his best times. Same as pyth. So only because pyth is actually not as good as any of those other people in the lineup. We can still see nip winning stuff because they did with fifflaren aswell. So aslong as the chemistry is good and all the other players feel good they can still be a top 3 team.

They should build a team around pronax. pyth is a good player, skill wise he's probably on the same wavelength as the current NiP players but he's lacking the X-factor to be a winner. Very disappointed with NiP's decision to retain friberg but if this rumor about pyth came true, that would spell doom for the once most decorated team in CS:GO history. Statistically speaking, I don't think he is that much of a better addition to the team than allu was. Removing Fifflaren, Maikelele & allu is the only thing this group of semi professional players can do. They are definitely not PROFESSIONAL. It should be their job to maximize their success, but they keep sticking with dead weight, thats pathetic in my opinion as a fan. Cutting friberg is long overdue, instead they let go allu, which was basically their best player in NiPs most important matches. I was expecting +pronax +pyth combined with f0rest & Xizt plus Number 5, maybe twist. (GTR to C9 was expected, friberg cut 99%) pronax (igl) twist (awp) pyth f0rest xizt Would be some kind of new NiP with lots of experience and new motivation. U'd have the best IGL, some young and fresh AWP and 3 great riflers. Instead u have now NO IGL (u got Xizt, who can only be productive if he is NO IGL, then he CAN BE a great fragger only), NO AWP (f0rest rifle > awp) and 2 players on the decline with friberg and GTR. GTR needed change of scene which he said himself, instead he has chosen to stay ($$$?) for another year of failure followed by frustrated retirement.
