strux1 leaves PENTA

Hendrik "strux1" Goetzendorff has announced that he has stepped down from PENTA Sports' active roster.

In a Facebook post, the 24-year-old hinted at taking a break from professional gaming by saying that he will "focus on other things for now".

With Hendrik "⁠strux1⁠" Goetzendorff's exit, PENTA are now on the lookout for two new players after losing Timo "⁠Spiidi⁠" Richter to mousesports last month.


strux1 leaves PENTA 

The instability in PENTA's squad certainly comes as a surprise to some of the team's fans. The German side missed the latest two majors but still finished 2015 on a high note, winning ESL Meisterschaft Winter after beating KILLERFISH in the grand final.

"I will not play for PENTA in 2016," Goetzendorff wrote. "Looking back, 2015 was a great year for PENTA and it had a great ending with the EPS title.

"Anyway, I will focus on other things for now. Thank you for your support!"

PENTA have not yet commented on the future of their CS:GO section. David "⁠Davidp⁠" Prins and Mike "⁠mikeS⁠" Tuns are playing for the team in the online qualifiers for the European Minor, which could mean that PENTA are flirting with the idea of signing players from outside Germany.
