Luminosity defeat G2 to battle Na`Vi

Luminosity join Na`Vi in the winners' match of group A after defeating G2 comfortably in the initial round (de_train 16-9, de_inferno 16-7).

On the de_train face-off between Luminosity and G2 (#7 and #8 in the world as per our ranking, respectively), the Brazilians stood strong in the beginning, picking up a 6-0 lead before the European mixture got a chance to reply with one round.

Thanks to G2 saving most of their weapons in that round, they were able to buy again despite losing the following round, allowing Philip "⁠aizy⁠" Aistrup to pick up the slack with an ace and a 1-on-1 clutch.

From there on his team was able to end up in a one-round deficit going into the second half. The second pistol also going Luminosity's way meant G2 found themselves in trouble at 12-7.

Luminosity are heading into another Na`Vi match-up

Even another one of aizy's heroics—a quad-kill for 12-8—wasn't enough to turn map one around, as Gabriel "⁠FalleN⁠" Toledo led his team (both tactically and frag-wise) to a 16-9 victory on Luminosity's pick.

The Cluj-Napoca semi-finalists' 4-0 start as CT on de_inferno was quickly negated with five in a row by their opposition. G2 did reply back with one to tie it at 5-5, but Luminosity didn't stop there by any means, as they got all five remaining rounds before the half was over.

When Luminosity grabbed another pistol round the series was nearly decided. Even though G2 fought back with two in a row for 13-7, the Brazillian quasi-buy wrecked all hopes for a comeback.

Aizy is cursed dude, every team he joins underperforms on LAN. When he joined TSM back when they were Dignitas, Dupreeh and Device dipped completely in performance, when he joined Dignitas, Pimp dipped in performance, now he joins G2 and Rain + Jkaem plays much worse.
