G2 survive scare against CyberZen

G2 came from behind to beat CyberZen 2-1 and advance to the Group A decider at the SL i-League StarSeries XIV Finals (6-16 on de_inferno, 16-14 on de_cache and 16-10 on de_mirage).

Group A's Lower Bracket match featured an interesting clash between G2, who had underperformed against Luminosity Gaming, and Chinese side CyberZen, who are still trying to find their way into the top tier.

No one certainly expected such a strong start to the series from CyberZen, who completely outplayed G2 on de_inferno, picking up a 16-6 win thanks to great performances from ZhiHong "aumaN" Liu and Zhuo "advent" Liang

G2 will face Na`Vi tomorrow

Cache was highly contested from start to finish, but in the end G2 ran out 16-14 victorious despite a strong display from veteran Bin "Savage" Liu, who showed glimpses of his old self.

G2 got off to a great start on de_mirage and took a 10-5 halftime lead with Mikail "Maikelele" Bill leading the charge. After losing the first three rounds in the second half, CyberZen strung a series of rounds together to put some pressure on their opponents, but G2 kept pushing on and closed out the map 16-11 to come through a difficult test.

hltv.org/match/2298223-skyred-vexed-drea.. Also Crazyguy didn't play on god level in that match level at all. He just had few crazy 1v3, 1v2. Savage is overall much more important and experienced player.

how is G2 a tier 2 team? showed up and performed well in the major, ranked no. 8 on hltv, being able to beat any team with higher ranking. what is your criteria?

True, but saying that cyberzen is "not a real team" is just stupid, which is why i felt like taking a swing at NA. Did you watch the game? Cyberzen played well.

The loss of their coach definitely had to have had an impact on them this match. Once they can get someone to lead them instead of being forced to rely on raw aim, I'm sure that the result will not be the same.

CyberZen literally 1 round away from 2-0'ing a top 10 team. They will definitely surprise more teams if they keep improving like this. Tyloo and cyberzen are pretty good teams already, and now big asian orgs want to invest in csgo. 2016 will be HUGE for cs..

Cyberzen is good, but in this game it was obviously G2 having no tactics, and playing pretty bad for their standards. So idk Cyberzen is a top 25-20 team IMO

Well...that was true last year, but not anymore. They're failling hard since the return of babyrage...im kinda glad everyone can see how overrated he is. Just today i've "seen" him ragequit after a lost game. Also you must realize how bad NA Dota actually is. Before TI5 they hardly won anything and in original Dota it was even worst. You can say ppd and Fear saved the NA scene, but man i miss those old when everyone knew they would throw no matter how great was their advantage.
