Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo talked to us after Luminosity's loss to FaZe in the initial round of group A.

Luminosity came to Leipzig with another strong showing behind them from StarSeries Finals, although they couldn't repeat their performance in the initial round, as they fell to FaZe on de_inferno.

We grabbed Gabriel "⁠FalleN⁠" Toledo for an interview about the FaZe encounter, and found out what the team felt like going into the match, what the result came down to, and Luminosity's overall improvement.

everyone calls every explanation on why they lost an excuse. Saying "it's hard to play a team" isn't an excuse. An excuse is "we haven't been practicing much" or "We didn't feel comfortable with the hardware" or shit like that.

yes best leader and a captain and he cant even pull a comeback against faze and sk... u can follow zeus, flusha etc.. they are really good captains compared to this piece of crap.

Yes, best leader and captain who (up until this one tournament): Defeated almost all the top teams in a series, except for fnatic. Is more often than not top fragging and having the most impact kills as a fucking in game leader. Often carries and drags his whole team on his back while also calling. Build his team to such a tactical degree that they almost never lose situation when they are man up. Revived the whole Brazilian scene. For the fun helps another Argentinian team compete. Yeah, he sucks. And remember - I don't even like the guy. But if you are not seeing the insane amount of work he is doing, then you are as ignorant as it gets.

insane anmount of work that he's doing is getting lucky on pistol rounds + early game, if the game doesnt go early in brazilianos way, they are losing it without even trying... thats not a good sign of a great leader and a captain. On the other hand u have EU pro teams that have suffering early game sometimes, not often taking all the pistols, and the early game can go horribly wrong, and they still managing to hold on and puul a comeback... So u still think that he's a good cap? If u are looking at lumi as a team that is better than all this tier 4 brazilian crap team, then yes, they are clearly better, probably cuz they are playing for a much longer time than others do, but they are on tier 2 level of play still...

Yes, because LG has monopoly on luck and no one else ever gets lucky. /s So when they lost 14:16 to fnatic due to that lucky CZ round from dennis, that was what? Dennis wasn't lucky? Apparently that was skill, because only LG ever gets lucky. They have troubles closing out close games, but that's only because most of these guys don't have that much experience as fnatic, VP, NV, TSM, NiP. That doesn't apply to Fallen though, he has more experience than his team combined, times three. You'll have to come up with a better arguments than "he is just lucky". What I stated are facts, what you are saying are butthurt excuses. As a sidenote - they had one of their more impressive runs right after they changed two players. So much for him being a bad captain.

Dude, either you are not watching, or you are plain dumb. I really hate LG, I cheer for every team they play against, why that is I have no idea, just something in my head. But Fallen is probably the best IGL after Happy in the scene right now. If you think otherwise you are plain stupid. Especially if you watch their matches.

Its really amazing how intelligent Fallen is, he learned to speak english very quickly and does not think much when talking. I watched some LG matches with TS audio and he gives instructions do every player while awping and feeling the other team. Thats not easy to do, I play with my friends and we cant even come up with 4 strats in row, he remembers everything and reads everything. Very smart person
