dignitas eliminate VP in 2-1 thriller

dignitas are through to the decider against mousesports after surviving a gruelling best-of-three against Virtus.pro 2-1 (11-16 on de_cache, 16-7 on de_mirage, and 22-20 on de_cbble).

The Group B elimination match between Virtus.pro and dignitas kicked off late into the night at DreamHack ZOWIE Open Leipzig with the winner to advance to the decider match against mousesports on the second day.

de_cache kicked off with Norwegian Ruben "RUBINO" Villarroel scoring a USP ace against the Poles to give dignitas the first pistolround of the series. VP bought up pistols however and equalised to 1-1.

dignitas managed to convert the next round however and pulled away with a few rounds, although Virtus.pro continued to score successful executes and the half finished a close 8-7 in favour of dignitas.

Kjaerbye often led the charge for dignitas in the series

With Paweł "byali" Bieliński in fine form on VP's CT-side, the Polish team began to pull away with rounds and ultimately achieved a 9-3 half to close out the first map 16-11.

de_mirage was another map where dignitas only managed a paltry 8-7 defense, however the second half saw something completely unexpected happen as the Danish-Norwegian team powered ahead with eight straight T rounds to win the map 16-7.

NEO almost managed to keep VP in the game on de_cbble

de_cbble was the decider map and characteristically saw both teams play each other to overtime, with byali and Markus "Kjaerbye" Kjærbye standing out for their respective squads.

Overtime saw multiple players such as Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas, Filip "NEO" Kubski, and Kjaerbye pull up big plays to keep the match alive through a second overtime, but eventual patient play from dignitas gave them the map at 22-20 and the series, thereby knocking Virtus.pro out of the tournament.

(Just 20 second remain) also everytime pashaBiceps playing two regions in B site. WTF? most of time the enemy flashing you and killed easy. Just reposition omg.

I know you meant them but TSM has another team in the US atm so you should not call them that... and again Astralis is not in the top 3 it's fnatic/navi/envy... Astralis will keep choking other than that I agree with the thing you said about VP.

"anyone with good cs knowledge" you use this sentence and then call navi not a top3 team... I thought you knew something about CS... For the last 6 months NaVi and Fnatic are the only consistent teams so yeah atm they are at the top... if they start to suck you can call them like that later

Na'Vi has fucked up every time it mattered, they still haven't won a single big tournament, or more than 2 or 3 medium sized tournaments lol... they have been even more inconsistent than VP It takes a lot more than good placings in the off-season to make a team top3, if they keep getting to the finals of tournies and do good at the next major then i will consider them a real contender.

Ok this is my last post to you cos you are clearly retarded or got brain damage from the VP game and I can understand that... NaVi has been in the Finals of the last 4 tournaments they have been and won 1 of them how come they aren't a good team and inconsistent?! So envy is better than them cos they only won 1 major and you consider Astralis better than them too while they can barely pass the group stages or quarter finals... While NaVi beats these both teams almost every time they play with each other... Keep watching and maybe you learn which teams are good and deserve their places!

you have no arguments and you don't even know your facts, probably a 2013er gn im guessing I haven't said Na'Vi is bad and agreed that if they keep up their form they might be considered a top team, but right now they are not. Na'vis biggest win is 50k in a tournament that had only tsm and smaller teams, they failed to win every big final they got into, that when they didnt fuckup before and got eliminated early. its also funny that your whole argument rely in their failing to win but getting close in the last 4 tournaments, tournaments that happened during the off-season where most teams didnt really care. making it close in a feel small tournaments when you been shitting the bed the whole year doesnt make you top3.

What Astralis have won to call them a top 3 team then ? If Na`Vi being consistently good for almost half a year doesn't make them a top team, then Astralis being good in mid 2015 doesn't make them top tier either. Na`Vi during like past 4-5 months: SL i-League StarSeries XIV Finals ($200.000, all top teams attending, except VP) - 2nd place $40.000 EEPL Season 2 ($250.000, all top teams attending, except VP) - 2nd place $60.000 IEM San Jose ($112.500, Na`Vi, Astralis (TSM), VP and 2 really good teams - G2 & LG) - 1st place $56.250, won over Astralis DreamHack Cluj 2015 ($250.000, major, all top teams attending) - 2nd place $50.000 Astralis's recent events: SL i-League StarSeries XIV Finals ($200.000, all top teams attending, except VP) - 5-6 th place $9.000 EEPL Season 2 ($250.000, all top teams attending, except VP) - 3-4th place $25.000 IEM San Jose ($112.500, Na`Vi, Astralis (TSM), VP and 2 really good teams - G2 & LG) - 2nd place $22.500, lost to Na`Vi DreamHack Cluj 2015 ($250.000, major, all top teams attending) - 5-8th place $10.000 Na`Vi was consistently better than Astralis or TSM. Lol'd so much at you calling these events 'small and off-season' - all of them had $100k+ prizepool, Cluj was a fucking major, EEPL is one of the most prestigious tournaments atm. All of these events were top-tier with huge prizepools and dozens of top-tier and simply good teams attending. Stop being a clueless fanboy, please, Na`Vi > Astralis\ex-TSM atm and this is a pure fact.

How can people say this was a great game to watch? The only reason it went so far is because dignitas is retarded and threw a lot, the players missed so many easy kills and the level of execution was so bad, why is that every game with a bunch of rounds played considered super good or smth

A better word is intense, because there is no doubt there was a lot of rounds with people on the edge of their seat. But agreed that there were too many mistakes to call it a great match

It was exiting to watch because dig were actually amazing at taking sites on T side but they were choking hard over and over and I was on the edge of my seat praying for them to actually win a 2/3v1! Not because it was spectacular JW frag movie kills, because it was so close for so long, great to watch.

He was so sick dude. Tenski was choking so hard though. Carrying on that Danish tradition.

Technically they had same bad start in 2015. It's just stupid VP way. Snax ate so much fat, Polish, Christmas food that he feels bad and heavy up till today.
