NiP & Virtus to DH Masters Malmö

DreamHack has confirmed that Ninjas in Pyjamas and Virtus.pro have been issued invites for its Masters event in Malmö.

In mid-April, DreamHack will host in the Swedish city of Malmö the first of two Masters events that will be held this year, with $250,000 on offer in both championships.

Sixteen teams - eight invited and eight qualified - will pit their wits against each other over six days at DreamHack Masters Malmö, which will feature a live event component at Malmö Arena, the second-largest indoor arena in Sweden.

Virtus.pro to attend DH Masters Malmö

After previously announcing fnatic and Astralias as the first two invitees, DreamHack has now revealed that Virtus.pro and Ninjas in Pyjamas, who currently sit sixth and seventh, respectively, in our world ranking, have been added to the list of participants.

NiP have yet to attend an offline event with their new roster, featuring Jacob "⁠pyth⁠" Mourujärvi, while the Polish team were recently in action at DreamHack ZOWIE Open Leipzig, where they finished 7th-8th following defeats against mousesports and dignitas.

i think whole top 16 from hltv.org should always attend it. as the top 16 will change, the teams of dh masters will change too. it will be as a motivation to top 30-top 10 teams to be good at all tournaments. and second argoument, i don't think there are better 16 teams in a world than top 16 of hltv

To be fair even though I'm growing tired with each tournament of NiP's way of winning games( Get_Right/F0rest get 3 opening kills or clutch in 1v3's while Fatberg is bottom-fragging) I would much rather watch that than FaZe seeing as how overrated they have become. Plus NiP's just better overall. I never thought I'd ever say this about NiP since they're my least favorite Tier 1 team. That is of course, if they can still be considered tier 1.
