Bjørn "skurk" Maaren has disclosed further information about his team's departure from London Conspiracy and their future.

After spending nearly half a year with the UK-based organization London Conspiracy, it was revealed that the players would be parting ways with them following what the management described as a fruitless campaign.

The exodus came with a roster change, as the only Swedish player in the team Fredrik "⁠slap⁠" Junbrant was replaced with Adam "⁠PAINT⁠" Fjellum, bringing about a five-man Norwegian lineup. Following the decision by their organization, Bjoern "⁠Skurk⁠" Maaren & co managed to qualify for the Acer Predator Masters 2 which will take place from February 11th to 14th in Germany.

PAINT rounds out the squad

Another tournament they will be attending is a national annual LAN named Nemean LAN which is set to kick off on February 23. The Norwegians are also participating in the Counter Pit League Season 2's online stage which started on February 1. If they finish their group in first place, they will qualify for the LAN finals in Croatia.

“We are really grateful to LC for the support they once again have given us, but we have reached the point where we go different ways. We have decided to make some changes within the team with ‘slap’ gone and ‘PAINT’ joining us. We know what this team is capable off, and are working everyday to reach our potential.We are now on the lookout for a new organisation to represent, as we are attending Acer Predator Masters in february and other events in the future.” Maaren told HLTV.org.

No one will sign them, they made LC abandon them for lack of achievements. Not even achievements, they failed to qualify for qualifiers. First qualify for something then seek orgs fgts

well I agree about "same tier" but I still think they are better, hence they have orgs. The fact that PANTERS have to beg for support is kinda pathetic in these times when so many orgs want to get into CSGO. And to all the "No" I would like evidence to suggest anything else before I change my opinion. What exactly have PANTERS done to be "better"? Except being ur friends ofc :)

The "no" option is more an answer to the guy telling us that theese teams are "clearly" better than them. So "Same tier" and "no" is close to same thing. Just wrote it up pretty quick. So I could have done it more deeply, but thats just how I feel about them atm.

So you put cloud9 and ldlc blue + Cringe Gods in same tier? How is that even close.. PANTERS have seriously not done anything note worthy in the past 6 months playing under LC, what do you base your opinion on when you rate them at the same level of Cluj Napoca participating teams. Tbh those 39 ARE currently better than panters in every way if you look at results (well maybe you can question Spece Soldiers and Planetkey)

they were the best team of an entire region. Even if they get a new 5th they have still done more on an international basis than Panters, which isnt anything more than a pugteam. I dont think tyloo would win 16-0 vs panters ofc lol, but to me they have proven more than panters

They've done nothing on an international basis in the past six months. the one chance they got at IEM, they were DQ'd.. So if we're four on 'overall' then LC is a much better know team, despite losing the org

Listen m8. I read the list you provided with better teams etc. Don't get me wrong, i understand why you would say they have no achievements etc compared to other teams. But you are missing the point. First of all, about them "begging for support". You have to understand that there are not a lot of investment in esports in Norway, and players that actually want to make a career out of playing CS have a hard time supporting themselves without an org. Especially in Norway where living is expensive. They are far from the first team to ask for support. It's just a way to get their name out there for orgs. About achievements and how they compare to other teams: You realize Polly and Skurk have both attended majors right? Just that alone are bigger achievements than many of the players on teams you mentioned. Mystic has been a huge talent for a long time, PAINT is also one of the rising stars and they have both attended events (the world championships with Norway they both played for example) This team can beat really good teams on good days. Some of the teams you mention as "better" are just plain wrong on both achievements and potential.

Well yeah possibly, I'm not saying they can't. The top40 comment was obviously meant as "they are not that good tbh" and I remember PAINT from teatime and other norwegian teams back in css when he played with moen, Zeek etc and I know he has a successfull history.

Don't know much about paint but i know he played CSS yeah. With our star players playing in international teams it's really difficult for .no teams to make a breakthrough. It's really sad to see that such a big CS country through history like Norway doesn't have a single team in the top 30 official rankings atm. I'm hoping for some kind of breakthrough in support, i know that even without rain,jkaem,rubino they can have a top 20 team with the right support and players. #Believe

Nope. I didn't follow CSS a lot, mostly 1.6. The only orgs afaik are BX3 and Lions. BX3 is now the team with kalle from 1.6. Lions are not even top 50. Unfortunately the market is slim for orgs in Norway. The interest in esport is growing, but not big enough here compared to sweden for example.
