dignitas stun EnVyUs; top Group A

With the opening round of matches in the rearview mirror, dignitas and EnVyUs contested Group A's winners' game, which would determine the first team reaching the semifinals in Vilnius.

Cobblestone was the first map of the series, and it began with a highly-contested first half, despite dignitas having at one point a 6-1 lead. EnVyUs went into the break up 8-7, but they were simply outclassed while playing on the CT side as the Danes, powered by a great display from their ingame leader, Mathias "⁠MSL⁠" Lauridsen, dropped just one round before claiming a 16-9 victory.

Next up was de_inferno, where dignitas once again got off to a flying start, taking a 6-0 lead. EnVyUs then finally put their foot down to hold back the dignitas, bringing the scoreline to 4-7, but the Danish team ran riot during the final stages of the half and cruised to an 11-4 half-time lead.

dignitas piled more misery on their opponents by winning the first four rounds of the second half to take the game to match point. With a poor economy, EnVyUs went on a desperate force buy, and despite picking up the round, it was simply too little, too late, as dignitas quickly hammered the final nail into the Frenchmen's coffin to secure the top spot in Group A.
