SK, YP final teams to MLG qualifier
SK Gaming and Team YP have won their respective semifinal games of the MLG Last Chance CIS & Europe pre-qualifiers to become the two final teams to attend the Main qualifier, defeating ENCE (2-0) and ancient (2-0) respectively.
An eleven team bracket that spanned the course of three game days saw many European teams angling to secure one of two spots at the MLG Columbus Main qualifier (from which eight teams advance to the next CS:GO Major).
With teams such as Empire, CSGL, Orgless (ex-PixelFire), and most notably E-frag.net falling by the wayside, the first semifinal to determine a slot was a match between Michael "Friis" Jørgensen and crew of SK Gaming and Aleksi "allu" Jalli's ENCE, who were playing on computers from inside of Assembly Winter 2016 (where that team has secured the playoffs of the €15,000 event).

AcilioN and his teammates picked ENCE apart
As allu suggested later, a full day of offline games was no helpmeet for the Finnish side as they were picked apart by SK Gaming, 16-2 on de_train and 16-6 on de_mirage.

In the second semifinal, Markus "pronax" Wallsten and his Swedish band of ancient faced off against the Russian-Ukrainian Team YP.
The first map of de_cbble was an extremely close series that saw Team YP inch ahead with a 16-14 win, while an obvious skill disparity appeared on ancient as Simon "twist" Eliasson put on a 37 kill showing whereas Jonatan "Devilwalk" Lundberg struggled to make an impact in the game with only seven kills on the map.

pronax & co. likely did not have fun playing on de_mirage
With Devilwalk experiencing apparent internet issues for the second map of de_mirage, ancients had to bring in Benjamin "BENDJI" Söderena and were promptly obliterated 16-0, meaning that YP became the second team to advance to the Main qualifier.
