E-frag, ALTERNATE survive at APM

We are getting closer and closer to the grand finale at Acer Predator Masters Season 2, as two more teams have been eliminated today in the lower bracket, and four teams are remaining in the competition.

Day three started with E-frag.net taking on CSGL in the first lower bracket semi-final, with the first map being de_cache, a pick of the Bulgarians. After getting the closest victory possible on the first half as CT, Simeon "⁠dream3r⁠" Ganev's side repeated the same feat on the other to pick up a narrow 16-14 victory on map one.

The two teams then moved on to de_overpass, and the 8-7 standard continued, although this time it was CSGL who started on the Counter-Terrorist side.

The Bulgarians' defence proved to be too strong for the Poles, as E-frag.net powered through without losing a round for a 16-7 win, securing a place in the lower bracket final.

On the other side it was HellRaisers up against ALTERNATE aTTaX, and it was the latter to send a strong message on map one, de_cbble. A near-perfect 14-1 Counter-Terrorist side, which saw a number of clutches going in favor of the Germans, sealed the deal as Kyrylo "⁠ANGE1⁠" Karasiow's team didn't have any room for error.

de_overpass started much better for the HellRaisers side, who picked up a 5-0 lead at the beginning before dropping a few rounds afterwards. In the end they went over with a comfortable 9-6 lead, and even took the second pistol round. ALTERNATE did reply with a B execute in the following forcebuy, and delayed the end result, but HellRaisers took no time to string several rounds together to make it 16-8.

The series was decided on de_cache, where HellRaisers started off the better after losing the pistol round, as they replied in the following for a 4-1 lead. For seven rounds in a row however ALTERNATE were able to retake sites even in unfavorable situations, before HellRaisers regained control for 7-8.

Their streak continued on the other half as well, as they found success in five more rounds that followed. The German side then kept trading two for one most of the time, pushing the game to overtime. A 4-1 Terrorist-side scoreline was enough for them to close out the game on the other side at 21-17.
