Acer Predator Masters powered by Intel Season 2 FinalsE-frag through to consolidation final
E-frag are through to the consolidation final at the Acer Predator Masters Season 2 Finals after beating ALTERNATE aTTaX 2-0 (16-14 on de_cobblestone and 16-4 on de_dust2).
Fresh off beating HellRaisers in a thrilling three-map game, ALTERNATE aTTaX went on to face E-frag.net, who had passed their test against CSGL with flying colours. The two teams had faced each other in the first round of the tournament, with the Bulgarians picking up an easy 2-0 victory.
The first map of the series was de_cobblestone, where E-frag claimed bragging rights fist thanks to a 1vs3 clutch from Nikolay "nkl" Krastev. It was the perfect way to start off the match, but the Bulgarian team were caught by surprise in the next round as ALTERNATE were on point with their Desert Eagle shots.
E-frag hit back right after and brought the scoreline to 4-1, which would be their biggest lead during the half. Until the break, rounds kept going back and forth, with E-frag taking a narrow 8-7 lead into half-time.
E-frag march on in Krefeld
Kevin "keev" Bartholomäus went huge in the pistol round as Terrorist and landed three kills in quick succession while holding the A site. E-frag rallied back in the following round, but ALTERNATE responded right after in a force buy, with Oliver "kzy" Heck getting four kills to his name.
The rest of the half was highly contested as neither side were able to get a significant lead. With the score 14-14, Emiliyan "spyleadeR" Dimitrov became the hero with three crucial kills to put E-frag at map point, with the Bulgarians also taking the following round.
Next up was de_dust2, which began with E-frag getting out to a 5-0 lead while playing on the Terrorist side. ALTERNATE then tightened up their defense and strung two rounds together, but the Bulgarians quickly regained control of the proceedings.
Every round that ALTERNATE won after that was quickly countered by E-frag, leaving the Germans' economy severely damaged. With plenty of money in the bank and their aim on point, the Bulgarians closed out the half with a commanding 11-4 lead. The game followed the same pattern in the second half as E-frag won five rounds in a row to seal a convincing 2-0 victory.
