ANGE1 stands in for markeloff in final

As Yegor "markeloff" Markelov's visa will expire tonight, Kirill "ANGE1" Karasiow will stand in for FlipSid3 in the Acer Predator Masters Season 2 Finals grand final.

Yesterday an issue was brought up by Yegor "⁠markeloff⁠" Markelov, who came to realize that he wouldn't be able to play in the grand final due to his visa running out on Sunday evening.

markeloff tackles visa issues; ANGE1 to stand in for him in the APM final

After the team has just managed to defeat E-frag.net in the consolidation final, FlipSid3 will have to tackle mousesports in the best-of-five grand final without him.

The team brought in HellRaisers' Kyrylo "⁠ANGE1⁠" Karasiow as a stand in, which has been allowed by mousesports, who will in turn get a one-map advantage in the series as opposed to a veto advantage only, which was the plan originally.

They allowed them to get a standin. The organisers should just disqualify them for ruining the final and let the third team advance. Problem solved. F3 will likely play worse now.

U cant possibly let the team who got fairly destroyed in semis just go and play the final. I mean even if f3 got disqualified then still it wouldntbe anyone to teplace f3 cause all other teams lost their games respectively. And btw even though ange1 is better in my eyes than marik in terms of fragging power its still bad for f3 cause they arent playing with the native roster and ange1 has to pick it up live while playing so no advantage for f3 here and more like a possible disadventage if you look at the teamplay and such...... Pls fin no excuses and tnx to mouz for being ok with it. Thats a men's decision by them. Respect

It doesn't matter. Markeloff/Flipsid3 knew that beforehand and it's utterly amateurish. It has nothing to do with professional e-sport and should be punished right away so it doesn't happen again. If I was a tournament organiser I wouldn't want to hold a tournament to see a good team in the final and another one which can't even provide their full lineup because of something stupid like this.

They could, and they would be in their right (assuming the tournament rules are stating this). But what I mean is that if they want to compete despite their opponents' problems, why not make it a bit more fair? F3 has no other choice than to accept their conditions, it's a bit sad to choose so much of an advantage. It could have been something like: no veto, mouz choose all the maps for example. Anyway, let's hope we still see some good CS and not a 3-0 stomp.

You rather get a 0:1 then your enemy choosing the maps. Playing 3 Mouz maps in a row would be much more of a punishment. I dont think its such a dick move by mouz, its clear that F3 fucked this up big.

I disagree on the disadvantage. Often we see teams exchange their maps quite comfortably, having a map advantage is mostly a probability advantage, anything can still happen. I don't think it's a dick move either, I think it's just a shame for the grand final to be crippled of a map and a shame for F3 to have to forfeit a map just because of a stand-in. Having a stand-in is already a disadvantage in itself. Whatever.

Explanation of situation. It was not possible for markeloff to play today's final in any case, due to the EU rules. Probably he has new visa from tomorrow, but he need to leave EU today, close his current visa and then enter EU again tomorrow. And it's not possible to receive new visa from today's date, only from the next day after the current one is expired. Breaking the visa rules can cause problems with the next visas.
