Fight Night to make a return

Aftonbladet Esport has unveiled the third edition of its "Fight Night" series, featuring €5,000 in cash prizes.

After an eight-month break, Aftonbladet's highly-popular "Fight Night" series, in which two of the best teams in the world face off in a best-of-five match, returns for a third installment, scheduled for February 25.

This time around, the prize money has been set at €5,000 - going up from the $5,000 paid out in the second edition -, with the winner taking home a total of €4,000.

fnatic won the first two Fight Night editions

The match will feature live stream production from a newly-built studio located at Inferno Online, where two commentators will take viewers through the action.

The names of the two participating teams will be revealed by Aftonbladet shortly. fnatic won the first two editions of the tournament, beating TSM in the first one and EnVyUs in the second one.

Why should they?... You could host an 8 team tournament for that amount of money in those regions (maybe except NA). But it's the top level competition the viewers want to experience, not some mediocre teams playing each other, so the exposure would be minimal.

its nothing compared to the big tournaments. they play a big lan, they make 20k each for winning. and this thing is online. and this blocks a night of practice. and other teams might watch it, which is not good for them.

Bro you do know its 800 for 1 bo5 per player. If you had a big tournament every 2 months that pay out 20k per player, you still need to win it. 20k/60 days is only 333$ a day. This is a 5k to play 1 bo5.... That's a lot of money....

yes and still thats the nature of the game. how many times do u see good teams lose online games? theres been all sorts of fight nights like that. not all were called that (but showmatch X or some shit), but theres been matches with the same format and they arent usually exciting bcs noone gives a fuck about them. its not the same as a big lan match and u shouldnt think it is just bcs players can potentially make 800$ for one bo5.

Who are you to dictate whether players are messing around because its 1 match. By your logic, no one should every play in a league match or any match. The only thing they should do is practice and keep everything hidden till a major event. Every team can lose and an upset is inevitable no matter how good they are. And I believe fnatic won the last two fight nights. So much for not giving a fuck.

True so playing like 24 matches to qualify for a 250k event which would take about 25hours, in which you mite not even qualify, and you mite not even win. is more worth the players time then 5hours max for 800€. What retard world do you live in? LOL
