emuLate skips Global Challenge L.A.

Just as we reported that the Global Challenge in Dubai found their last three participants, the Los Angeles event is to seek for a replacement, as emuLate chickens out.

The reigning WCG champions emuLate had a catastrophic weekend as they failed to qualify for WCG, they did in fact not even make it past the group stage. If this is the reason for them to skip the Global Challenge in Los Angeles or not remains unknown, for a fact is that the French team will not be present in Los Angeles during the coming weekend.

There should be a replacement for the team, according to ESL. ESL will be drawing groups for the Global Challenge in Los Angeles tomorrow and you can watch all of it live on ESL TV at 21:00 CET.

HLTV.org will be updating you with the groups as soon as the draw is in progress. Furthermore will HLTV.org be on-site at the Global Challenge in Los Angeles, bringing you all the action during the three day event.

Too bad... Hope nothing will happen to the team. They probably just need to train harder and keep going with the same roster, like fnatic.

Teams pay the travel and hotel by themselves or ESL invites them? If ESL invites, hope they invite Ledpc or x6tence :P

Such an unprofessional attitude 3 days before a tournament they decide not to go, great, they f*ck the organizers and probably another top team who wanted to go there.

In my opinion Emulate had a huge impact upon french cs right after they won WCG2007, setting up a high standard. Now we saw 3 (if i am not mistaken) other french teams beaten Emulate in french WCG qualifier not because EM played bad but because this teams are very good. So I thing another french surprise it's quite possible in Koln!
