RCTIC win Nordic Masters

Teams from four countries (Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland) were divided into four groups and initially battled it out in a double-elimination bracket. The first games of each group featured a best-of-one format but all the following stages had best-of-three matches.

RCTIC's group stage was fairly easy as they moved past Rize 16-8 and defeated Torpedo 2-0 to advance to the playoff stage. On the other hand, BX3 had their work cut out for them as they went to overtime against Recursive, ultimately managing to scrape a 19-15 win. After getting beaten in the winners' match against DenDD, they once again defeated Recursive in the decider match, this time 2-0.

Despite being one map behind in the quarter-final against Games4u, RCTIC exerted their dominance and came back to bring the scoreline to 2-1. The map they lost in the quarter-final would turn out to be the only map they they would in the entire tournament. In their semi-final game, Danish team Preparation didn't cause much trouble to RCTIC as the Finns picked up both maps 16-11 and moved on to the grand final.

Their opponent was BX3, who had knocked out Publiclir.se and Torpedo. The clash failed to exhibit much competition as the Finnish team handled their opponents really well, letting them get only eleven rounds in total. Lasse "⁠ZOREE⁠" Uronen had a 1.76 rating on two maps with a 49-19 K/D.
