AlienTech have announced that Rafael "zakk" Fernandes has stepped down from their Brazilian CS:GO team with immediate effect.

In a Facebook post, the Portuguese organisation gave for no reason for Rafael "⁠zakk⁠" Fernandes's departure, only thanking the player for his service while he was part of the team.

Replacing the zakk, who burst onto the scene in ProGaming.TD back in 2013, will be Guilherme "⁠dukeN⁠" Góes, formerly of Dexterity and g3nerationX.

With the 19-year-old being lauded as one of the top young prospects in Brazil, the move is likely to bring more firepower to AlienTech, who finished third at the MAX5 Invitational, at the start of the year.

The Brazilian team were due to attend the Americas Minor Championship, last month, but visa issues forced them to miss the event, which was won by Enemy.

With these changes, AlienTech now have:

ts clearly improved as a team since max5, and were very likely being coached by fallen for all their recent wins, so the logic isnt exactly perfect not saying they wouldnt do well, just isnt as simple as you make it seem

Yeah, I agree. And the match on MAX5 was a BO1. But GA still won 2 games 16x0 on MAX5. And one more fact, 2 days after, they faced each other on Games Academy Professional League and the final was at MAX5 LAN. And GA won 2-0 against AlienTech. But still, this team won every single game after this loss to GA. Let's see how they go with this change.

Fallen didnt coach TS, he was most of time quiet and only told them motivation words when winning important rounds. TS's coach is peacemaker, he called the majority of TS's strategies and setups.

Not really. On the first map (de_inferno) of their last match, FalleN was clearly telling them what to do. Where to smoke, to push or not at banana, and stuff like that. He was bringing up options and of course peacemaker and hen1 was calling it out. But I do believe that FalleN around give the guys a lot more confidence. So it does make sense that TS plays better with FalleN around.

Yeah, and the expectation around them was very big. Bida, Bczz, Pink, everyone was talking about how GA was the favorite team to go to the finals against LG. That was kinda an extra pressure on their shoulders. First LAN with new line-up. And Bo1 is Bo1.. all 2 losses was kinda close games.
