Vexed defeat SK in Columbus

Vexed have surprised SK Gaming in the initial round of group C with a 16-10 victory on de_train.

The start of SK's match with Vexed saw the Poles getting to a quick 5-0 lead as Terrorists after a won pistol round, a gunround and a few anti-ecos.

A single round going SK's way wasn't enough to stabilize economical situation as they were broke after losing the next, but Asger "⁠AcilioN⁠" Larsen bailed his team out with three kills and a 1-on-2 clutch for his team's second round in the half.

Three rounds in a row to Vexed's name afterwards, Michael "⁠Friis⁠" Jørgensen stepped up with an AWP quad-kill, but the mostly-Danish lineup wasn't able to make a streak out of it as they began staring down the barrel at 12-3.

Furlan lived up to the expectations

More of Friis's heroics in the second pistol round helped SK to three rounds in a row, and Andreas "⁠MODDII⁠" Fridh's quad-kill in the first gunround of the second half extended it to five.

A few of the rounds got a bit too close for comfort, but nevertheless SK gaming clawed their way back into the match round by round. It all stopped once they reached 10 rounds however, as it only took four rounds in a row for the Poles to come out victorious at 16-10.

irrelevant, sk have been good recently while vexed have been shit at best.. this was the only match i viewed as safe today, glad i didnt bet on it

Train is one of the best vexed map next to overpass. They are solid team, playing together for a long time and in my eyes they were favorites in this game.

Train is Vexed's best map and SK fails under pressure and or LAN. If you aren't an idiot you'd at the very least expect close game.

you have to watch games. not only win or lose matters but you have to look with wchich team they win or lose, how close these games are, their tactics. i think that matters most.

good point, but vexed rarely plays vs "tier1" teams and if they do the map doesnt really matter since they lose. thats why i said train is not a great map for them, because they dont really have one. the maps they play are cobble, train,overpass and mirage, and because vexed are very inconsistent i think their best is mirage since they put up numbers even if they lose. ive seen some very poor performances on train , overpass and cobble from them. and they have a convinving rating on mirage.

yea that was the only time. it was a 16-14 and train is the second worst map for envy, anyways they played good vs sk yesterday on train, still dont think its their best map.

they also took astralis (question mark at the time) to OT on that map and have always looked good on it

no they didnt always look good on it. but they dont look good on any map all the time so fair enough, mirage train probably. problem is sk should be more skilled and train is a good map for them as well. so it was not as obvious as hes trying to make it.i agree though they shouldnt have played mirage vs sk since its their best map
