Razer Rising Stars series with $64,600

Your Esports Entertainment will be organizing leagues for lower-tier teams in four regions—Europe, South-East Asia, North America and South America—called Razer Rising Stars, which will hand out up to $64,600 in total.

Razer Rising Stars League, which will be held in four different regions across the world, is aimed at lower-tier teams who have yet to prove themselves and designed to promote new talent, according to Your Esports Entertainment CEO, Mohamed "Availer" Zardab.

The official press release also stated that organizers are hoping that in the future, teams involved in the league will become shareholders to share in the profits of the league, so that both the league and its teams rise at the same pace.

Your Esports Entertainment announce another competition after TWC

Europe's league will hand out $20,000, while South-East Asia, North America and South America have a guaranteed prizepool of $10,000 each. Additionally up to $14,600 will be distributedbetween teams below the top four if the teams manage to play out all matches.

The format of all four leagues will be the same. The participating teams will be placed in a round-robin group, where all matches will be played in best-of-two's.

But if you wanna generalize, I can say that all French are gay, or all Africans are poor, or that all Europeans are ISIS, or all Germans are Nazis

Good move, and despite everyone going round saying "omg shit teams"... it's to help promote the wider scene and actually boost the scene. Perhaps some people need to take a chill pill and realise that not every tournament should be aimed at the highest tier in CS. Gotta help the grassroots somehow.

+1 For me its great that there are tournaments for tier 2/3 teams. It helps them to develope and to earn some money..and also expands CS:GO scene. I really liked watching minor tournaments, even if gameplay was at lower level.

+1 Whilst the big Tier 1 tournaments are hype to watch, I love watching the Tier 2/3 tournaments to see which players/teams are on the rise. It's definitely very good that these tournaments exist so that you have a better grassroots and encourage players to step up their game.

cool seeing lower tier brazilian teams getting a chance to compete! I hope more money being added to it will help fund them going to more international events. A lot of unused talent in that region.

We definitely didn't forget North Africa ;)> We were the first European Tournament Organiser to put money into North Africa and we will continue to do so! We think that the cup format works best with North.A for now and that in future we will be working on a middle east + NorthA. league if internet infrastructure allows it.
