An interview with Dignitas Spike

After the announcement of the Extreme Masters III groups, We caught up with Mark "spike" Quigley for Dignitas to see his views on how he feels about the event and the group they will be participating in.

Can you introduce yourself & the team you currently play for, for those who don’t know who you are

Hi, I'm Spike and I currently play for team dignitas as ingame leader along with AlesKi who's our awp rat, 101 who's friends with someone who's mum is named Drea, Suffz who misses all our lans to study and Kurt1s who just runs around trying to get kills.

The Extreme Masters III groups have been announced, how do you feel about the teams in your group?

Think it's the best group we could have got, expecting to get at least 4th. The only teams that we should find difficult are MYM, Virtus, ATS and maybe x6tence if they play well.

Being the only UK team in the event do you find that there will be more pressure on your team?

Don't really think about it like that, but I don't think there's any pressure on us because we're the only UK team. There will be the normal comments etc on the sites from UK people but I think we are used to seeing "kick 101, get song" by now :D

How will your team prepare for this event any boot camps?

We were planning a bootcamp but we're going to ESL Global Challenge Dubai instead, so I guess we'll be using that and WCG to help fix any mistakes we discover, but apart from those two LANs just online practice.

In your group which team are you most anxious to play?

I'm probably most anxious to play Virtus just to see if we can do better than when we played them at ESWC.
