Cloud9 over dignitas in elimination

Cloud9 live to fight another day as they didn't allow dignitas complete the comeback and defeat the Danes 16-13 on de_cache.

Starting off as Terrorists on de_cache, Dignitas were able to buy up in the third round thanks to a couple of bomb plants in the first two rounds, allowing them to break Cloud9's economy for three rounds in a row.

The following three gunrounds saw Mike "⁠shroud⁠" Grzesiek step up with a quad-kill and a triple near checkers and Ryan "⁠freakazoid⁠" Abadir with a triple from forklift up against a fast-paced play by the Danes.

That allowed Cloud9 to get up to an 8-3 lead before youngsters Kristian "⁠k0nfig⁠" Wienecke and Markus "⁠Kjaerbye⁠" Kjærbye turned a 2-on-4 situation around with two doubles. More stellar individual play by shroud put the North American squad in a comfortable 11-4 lead before switching to Terrorists.

Another amazing play by shroud in a 2-on-4 in the pistol round was negated by a second-round reply by Dignitas, four of whose players picked up pistol kills in the following forcebuy.

Cloud9's reputation on T sides started to shine through from that point on, as they were unable to follow through with any of the attacks except for one that was denied by Kjaerbye's 1-on-2.

Most of the rounds ended up being close, which helped Cloud9 force Dignitas on an eco after eventually finding a way to winning round for 13-13. Quick middle take after an anti-eco, where they found two kills without being traded, put Cloud9 in the driving seat as they took match point before surviving the last forcebuy from Dignitas for 16-13.

Actually other way around but thanks. Dignitas was more polished and actually set up, as C9 just did plain MM A pushes, this is coming from a C9 fan btw

Not saying you are wrong, but a little more insight, you can see that the 'MM' rushes are planned and practiced... Example A on Cache. Stewie jumps out to truck while shroud opens the door. Those two try to get engagement onto toxic and site, bringing the middle guy up to highway. Freak and Ska set up molotovs and smokes for shroud to come out of door and they can go 'MM' style onto A site wihtout too many ways of looking, then n0thing comes up highway, backstabbing the guy there.

C9 CT side is good, because they're good at getting kills... But they honestly didn't deserve the win, they really need SOMEONE to call for them T side. They have zero strats and peak/give info too fast. They also seem to refuse to rotate T side.

I noticed that to, seems like whatever bombsite c9 choose at the beginning of the round is the one they will hit. Like even if it's stacked, they will sit there until they get a entry or wait until last 30 seconds take it.

The first half C9 were just dominant.. But the T-side showed us once again that they HAVE TO get a coach or a proper IGL.. Atleast they finally remembered how to play T side in the last 4 rounds..

Bottomline, Dignitas and Sk are carrying the trend set by Astralis, that too choke at the right time of the event. Both team wasted a golden opportunity to get qualified to Majors. Sad to see so much talented, eliminated and gg C9. Hope they meet Gambit.
