HLTV.org interviewed Gambit's Dmitry 'hooch' Bogdanov following his team's victory over Renegades to qualify for the MLG Columbus Major.

Gambit were underestimated perhaps by some as the CIS region team came into a stacked Group D and were the first to advance out of it after victories against Cloud9 and Renegades.

We spoke with Dmitry "⁠hooch⁠" Bogdanov of Gambit, who is himself a longtime staple of the Russian Counter-Strike scene, and discussed various sundry topics.

The best group they can get is FaZe, VP, Gambit and probably like Cloud9/Renegades. I can see this happening with such group. Even to beat a tier1 team is possible, cuz of bo1 format. We all remember the LG win against Fnatic
