TS beat E-Frag, Astralis win over VP

Virtus got plowed by Astralis on de_overpass, 16-6, in their first LAN match since Leipzig and after a disastrous ESL Pro League online record, while Tempo Storm rained on E-Frag.net's parade, turning the match around on the T-side of de_inferno to win the match 16-13.

The map decided on after the veto was de_inferno, which both teams were glad to play. Tempo Storm started on the counter terrorist side, and their Bulgarian counterparts started as terrorists. E-Frag.net played a B split on the pistol round, which Tempo Storm were unable to stop and falling back passively weren’t able to work their way back into the site and defuse the bomb.

The first gun round went to the Brazilian team. E-Frag.net were able to breach the A site, but a swift retake from Tempo Storm gave them the defuse and their first tally on the scoreboard. Again, E-Frag.net pushed A, got the plant, but a 2 vs- 3 retake by João "felps" Vasconcellos and Lucas "LUCAS1" Teles kept the Brazilians on a roll, as they would go on to take the next round to tie the game 3-3.

E-Frag.net didn’t back down, however, as they won the following round, but gave up the following round to Gustavo "SHOOWTiME" Gonçalves who was able to clear the site of the two last terrorists for a total four kills in the round and defused the bomb to tie the match up 4-4.

Up 5-4 and against an eco, Tempo Storm put on the aggression pushing down banana and mid, getting the entry kill, but E-Frag.net managed to rush the A site from apartments and put down the bomb, which Viktor "v1c7oR" Dyankov was able to defend against three CTs.

One thing Tempo Storm were talking about with playing European teams, is that if they made mistakes they knew they were going to be punished. After losing that eco, E-Frag.net started feeling more solid and put in rounds, gaining a 5-9 advantage and only giving up the last round of the half to close their T side very strongly with a 6-9 advantage.

felps, man of the match agains E-Frag.net

The Brazilians weren’t giving up, though, as they won the T side pistol to even things back up, and after winning the anti-ecos found themselves with a 9-9 tie on the board. Not only that, the Brazilians then won the first gun round and the following anti-eco to put themselves up 11-9 and force E-Frag.net on the defensive.

Tempo Storm weren’t turning down the heat, and managed to plant B with three players still alive and hold the site, forcing E-Frag.net on a Famas and armor force buy and into a hard situation. The force buy worked thanks to Kamen "bubble" Kostadinov, as a four kill round by him kept his team in the match.

Tempo weren’t about to back down, though, and a well executed B take resulting in a 4v2 after plant situation went their way, giving them a 3 round lead in the 23rd round.

Tempo Storm kept pushing the boundaries, getting themselves the match point on the 26th round, taking a four round cushion, which they would capitalize on ending the match 16-13.

Virtus.pro came into this match as a huge question mark, as their online results might forebode their demise, but their ability to surprise on LAN when no one is expecting them to keeps hope alive. On the other hand, Astralis came out of their first match of the day in which they beat EnVyUs on de_train, and with de_overpass coming out of the veto they looked like clear favorites.

Jarosław "pashaBiceps" Jarząbkowski put in a huge pistol round with four kills on his tab, however, to make a statement immediately. That dream died quickly as Astralis managed to pick up the eco and the first anti-eco to turn the game around, 2-1 in their favor.

Astralis were able to pick up the first gun round, as Virtus.pro seemed to be drowning as Astralis were able to trade every frag and maintain the man advantage throughout the round.

Astralis then went on to win round after round, like blows of a hammer against a coffin nail. It wasn’t until the 11th round that Virtus.pro was able to get their second round on the board, trailing by seven against the Danes. The Polish side managed to string another round, keeping hopes of a comeback alive, but with a long way still ahead.

xyp9x’s reliability a key to Astralis' dominance

An round opener by Filip "NEO" Kubski and two follow-up frags by Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski put VP on the offensive in the 13th round as the Poles got their third in a row and fourth of the half. Astralis didn’t lose focus, however, as they completely dismantled VP during an A retake to tally up ten rounds in the half. VP then won the last, for a 10-5 score line at the half.

Astralis won the CT pistol round giving themselves the security that by playing their game there was little VP could do to turn around an 8 round deficit. NEO went hard on the first gun round, killing four and enabling his team to stay alive.

No individual plays followed up and the momentum was gone, putting VP on the force buy to try and stop Astralis from getting their 15th round, which they would go on to do, garnering themselves nine match points. By the end of 22nd round the match was over, 16-6.

the question is not LAN or INTERNET, is the opponent. On internet he plays against bots of NA, tier2..3 of NA, on LAN the europe teams are much more strong, expected. But he is a good player and can improve
