IEM Katowice 2016FaZe, Virtus.pro scrape wins
FaZe have picked up their second victory at IEM Katowice after edging past Tempo Storm in overtime, while Virtus.pro secured their first points after beating EnVyUs.
The third round of Group B matches featured a very interesting clash between EnVyUs and Virtus.pro, two teams still looking for their first win in the tournament after losing to Astralis earlier in the day.
The map, de_cache, began with Virtus.pro winning the pistol round, and they followed it up with the corresponding anti-eco rounds to start off the game with a 3-0 lead. EnVyUs then picked up a round after buying up, but the Polish side rallied back right after, thanks to a quad-kill from Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas.
Virtus.pro scrape a close win
Virtus.pro continued in the driving seat, with the scoreline blooming to an 8-1 advantage for them. It was only then that EnVyUs managed to hold back their opponents, winning three rounds in a row, but Virtus.pro still won the final three rounds of the half to secure a commanding 11-4 lead.
EnVyUs found a lifeline in the second half as they won the opening three rounds to cut the deficit to 7-11. Virtus.pro came right back to win the next three rounds but they struggled to close out the game. With seven of the next eight rounds going their way, EnVyUs saw the momentum shift in their favor, but the Polish team held on strong and won the final round to scrape a 16-14 success.

Elsewhere, FaZe and Tempo Storm faced each other looking to make it two in a row after beating E-frag.net in their Katowice openers. Following a highly-contested opening period, the Brazilian side dominated the proceedings, which allowed them to take a 10-5 half-time lead.
FaZe came out strongly from the break and won five rounds in a row to level the game at 10-10. It was a wakeup call for Tempo Storm, who refused to give it up so easily. Inspired by Henrique "HEN1" Teles, the Brazilian team picked up a 13-10 lead, but FaZe turned things around after a fantastic run, only to waste the chance to seal a 16-14 victory thanks to some sloppy play.
FaZe are now 2-0 in Katowice
That final round spelled the end of regulation, but Tempo Storm were unable to carry that momentum into overtime as FaZe picked up two rounds in each half to secure a 19-16 success.
