EDG expand to CS:GO

EDward Gaming have ventured into competitive Counter-Strike by signing their own team.

EDG, who house one of the strongest Chinese League of Legends teams, have become the latest Asian highflier to expand to Counter-Strike, a path that other big organisations in the region, such as LGD, Vici Gaming and EHOME, are expected to follow shortly.

The roster, however, is unlikely to cause eyebrows to raise, with JianWei "⁠wjw⁠" Wang and ZiHao "⁠Insane⁠" Han being the only members with significant competitive experience. Both players recently attended the StarSeries Finals, with wjw playing for AllGamers, while Insane represented Goalie.

Joining them are three relatively unknown players who are close friends and had been looking to join the same team: MinHui "⁠sPiNacH⁠" Sun, Yi "⁠gas⁠" Ding and Kun "⁠M0N3Y⁠" Qian.

EDward Gaming will be competing in the Asian qualifiers for DreamHack Masters Malmö and in the recently-announced CS:GO Super League, which will pay out over $44,000.

The team's roster is the following:

Probably wont do to much damage but they are all very rich teams. LGD/EDG/VG etc. Their league players make 1.000.000$ for a year.

they are rich because their teams actually win something and dominate their region also league is taken much more seriously in Asia, I highly doubt that these guys are getting more than 500$/month since they wont accomplish anything significant
