G2 decimate Cloud9

G2 send Cloud9 home after a one-sided match on Dust2, in which the French-Belgian team secured a place in the group D decider after a 16-3 scoreline.

Cloud9 and G2 got to Dust2 after the veto, with the latter starting as Counter-Terrorists. Kévin "⁠Ex6TenZ⁠" Droolans kicked things off with an all-headshot quad-kill from platform and continued with great play onwards.

The Belgian in-game leader's score was 11-0 after two anti-ecos and gunrounds. Edouard "⁠SmithZz⁠" Dubourdeaux piled on with a quad-kill, as well as Richard "⁠shox⁠" Papillon with a triple to make it 7-0. Everywhere Cloud9 went they ran into a wall until it was 11-0, when they decided to take matters into their hands with a rush B.

G2 went from 1-16 to 16-3 in two maps

Another one after a successful attempt was ripped apart by Ex6TenZ, who got another quad-kill, however Mike "⁠shroud⁠" Grzesiek replied with one of his own in the following forcebuy for a halftime score of 12-3.

Adil "⁠ScreaM⁠" Benrlitom and shox added insult to injury with two triples in the first two rounds in the second half and it didn't take long for them to finish the job at 16-3.

Shrud did hella good at the qualifiers, honestly I think skadoodle was much more disappointing.

Skadoodle has been kinda disappointing/under-performing for a while now, it's sad to see. I was a huge fan of him back in 2014 before he had that insane run of form in 2015 (during which I wasn't following CS) - always said he'd be one of the top AWPers. Shame to see him being so inconsistent now.
