PGL Spring with $15,000 prize pool
Chinese company ProGamer League (PGL) has announced that it is expanding to CS:GO, with its first offline event featuring over $15,000 in prize money.
Over the last decade, PGL has established itself as one of the most important esports event organisers in China, and the company is now looking to capitalise on the growth of the Counter-Strike scene in the country with tournaments for the game.
This year alone, PGL will be hosting three CS:GO competitions, the first of which taking place later this month, from April 23-24, at the MasterCard Center, in Beijing.

Vici Gaming invited to PGL Spring
TyLoo and Vici Gaming are the first two teams confirmed for the event, called PGL Spring, which will give away a total of 100,000 RMB ($15,400) plus four spots at the Summer tournament. The prize distribution for PGL Spring is the following:
1. ~$7,700
2. ~$4,630
3. ~$3,090
The Summer event will represent a major upgrade in terms of the scale of the event as PGL will boost the prize purse to $100,000 and invite four teams, from Europe and North America.
Running from June 10-12 at an as-yet undisclosed location, PGL Summer will reward the top three finishers with:
1. $50,000
2. $30,000
3. $20,000
