WCA reveal APAC qualifier
The World Cyber Arena (WCA) has announced the Asia-Pacific (APAC) qualifier for the WCA 2016 finals, that are set to take place in December.
After revealing the WCA 2016 Finals and its Chinese qualifier, the organizers of one of the most popular events in the region have unveiled the qualifiers for Asian and Oceanian teams. The qualifier will start online and then the last four teams will go to LAN to complete their journey.
The first part of the online portion will run from April 15-17, continuing on April 19 after an off-day. MIXBOT will be providing the servers for the online stage and the games will be streamed in Korean on AfreecaTV.

Immunity are one of the favorites in the qualifier
Twelve invited teams from Asia and Oceania have been split into four groups, each one having a single high seeded team and two low seeded ones. The low seeded squads will play online in a best-of-three match and the winner will face the high seed of their group. This last match will decide the winner of the group, who will advance to the next stage. The Online groups look as follows:

The group toppers will go to Beijing, China for the WCA 2016 APAC Division LAN finals, which will take place from May 19-21. The two finalists of this tournament will qualify for WCA 2016, which will offer around $200,000 in cash prizes in December.
