Risky qualify for Asia Minor

Risky Gaming have qualified for the PGL KeSPA Asia Minor via the SEA qualifier, defeating Mongolian team NYSM 2-0 in the grand final (19-16 on Inferno and 16-12 on Overpass).

Following a series of blunders relating to the Asia Minor by the event organisers, 128 teams battled it out for the "Asia" slot to the PGL KeSPA Asia Minor taking place at the Nexon eSports Arena in Seoul from May 5-8 (two slots were originally designated).

The semifinals saw Risky, a mainly Emirati team who finished in 5-6th place at the last Asia Minor which took place during IEM Taipei, take down Albert "⁠FrostMisty⁠" Giovanni's nxl, the premier Indonesian team with a score of 2-1.

The other side of the bracket meanwhile saw two lesser known teams, NYSM of Mongolia and Sub:stance of Singapore, battle it out with the Mongolians advancing.

havoK's Risky will attend another Asia Minor

The grand final was fought tooth-and-nail, with the first map of Inferno going into overtime and the second map of Overpass going to twenty-eight rounds, but it was ultimately Love "⁠havoK⁠" Paras and Risky who won the game and have thereby qualified for the upcoming Asia Minor, giving them a chance to qualify for the Major qualifier.

For those who do not follow the CS:GO scene in Asia as closely, Risky's lineup is:

Therefore, a designated Oceania qualifier and South Korean qualifier will still take place this month to determine the final three spots to the Asia Minor.

Nxl, MVP.Karnal, Threats, Signature, Hanoi Vortex, NYSM and possibly Detonator are all better than the best Korean teams. MVP couldn't even qualify because of the short notice given for the qualis too :^)
