Natus Vincere advanced to the semi-finals at DreamHack Masters Malmö after beating TyLoo 2-0 (16-10 on Inferno and 16-5 on Mirage).

The first quarter-final at DreamHack Masters Malmö saw Natus Vincere, who finished their group in the first place, going up against TYLOO, who eliminated both Liquid and Luminosity.

The first map (Inferno) was TYLOO's pick and they started on the CT-side to win the pistol round and the anti-ecos (3-0). Natus Vincere were victorious in the fourth round and got the fifth one as Ioann "⁠Edward⁠" Sukhariev and Denis "⁠seized⁠" Kostin clutched in a 2v4 situation.

Egor "⁠flamie⁠" Vasilyev had an ace in the seventh round as he clutched a 1v3 and put his team in front with a 4-3 score. Natus Vincere's seventh consecutive round forced the Chinese teams to take a timeout and they salvaged what they could as they trailed 5-10 at halftime.

GuardiaN was back with his team

TYLOO, yet again, grabbed the pistol round but lost the third round of the half to a mixed buy (11-7). YuanZhang "⁠Attacker⁠" Sheng's entry kill onto Ladislav "⁠GuardiaN⁠" Kovács gave TYLOO their eighth but the Chinese team lost the following round (12-8). Natus Vincere broke their opponent's economy and finished off the first map 16-10.

The second map kicked off phenomenally for the CIS team as they got the first six rounds on the T-side of Mirage. GuardiaN's 1v3 clutch brought Natus Vincere the sixth round and then TYLOO managed to sneak in two of their own (6-2).

Natus Vincere took complete control after this point and finished the half 13-2 ahead. flamie had 19 kills in the first half and paved the way for the victory. Na`Vi won the pistol round of the second half but lost the subsequent round as TYLOO prolonged the inevitable. The CIS team won the second map 16-5 as GuardiaN got the ace in the last round.

TyLoo is actually funded by some big industrial company in China. The name and brand is too iconic. These group of players have already been approached by orgs like EDG and LGD in China but turned down the offers. Playing for TyLoo is like playing for Barcelona in China.

So proud of Tyloo! But they still lack of experience competing with other top team in big event, still a long way to go to the top.

They can compete with Liquid and LG, but NaVi with healthy GuardiaN is by far the best team in the world currently. Don't think there are any teams that can really compete with them.

tyloo doesnt have any awper, that's the question. cuz china scene go bigger, many rich orgs setted up a csgo team like LGD,EDG,ViciGaming(ex cyberzen), but theres not enough good player in china(especially awper, theres only 2 good awper in china now i thinked, Savage and Pigff), we cant make the strongest team like lumi.

Truth be told, there is only 1 (maybe 2 if you count skadoodle) good awper in NA, and in EU there are 2 awpers that are years ahead of everyone else (KennyS and Guardian). Still, a good awper doesn't mean you win, Fnatic can win easily with 5 people rifling, same for NiP and Dignitas.

I'm going to just say that their biggest problem is not dealing with the other team's awpers. Just because it's such a big problem for everyone else, it's no surprise for them too. You really can't win if KennyS and GuardiaN are on their top level. That said, this tournament was really good for Tyloo, exceeding all of their highest expectations, and we will see KennyS vs Guardian today, which should be epic.
